Kwikee Step Motor Conversion Kit for B Linkage, Replacement Parts for Kwikee 22, 23, 28A, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 40 series steps - 379769

This unit is excellent and immediately worked after being installed. However, the polarity is reversed (extending the step in the closed position and withdrawing the step in the open position). The most difficult was removing the old motor step due to rust etc.

Tried several RV repair services all stated I was sorry out of luck, Kwikee did not show any direct replacement for either the mechanical or black box controller. I checked Amazon and took a shot at their listing of both motor, linkage and controls for lest than any one part ( cost wise )if I could have found one. All suggested to bite the bullet and replace the steps with a new unit since my motor coach is a 1999 model. I orders the step linkage kit and wasp pleasantly surprise that it is a direct fit for the series 28 single step hardware. Installed within 30 min. Work Great!

Easy to install and seems to work right. Better than replacing the whole step which is what we would of had to do if the part had not worked.

The link to my RV steps suddenly broke one day and the steps were no longer functional; this kit was inexpensive and only took a few minutes to install. A cover plate supplied with the kit didn't fit my step motor, it was thinner but the old cover was still good. My step had lasted 10 years and while I had it apart I also applied some new grease on the gears. I rotated the gears to a new position in case there was wear on the surface that had worked for ten years; it should be good for ten more years. Moving the gears to a new position has no effect on the step positioning, the motor senses the operating current and stops when the current starts to peak when the step goes in or out and hits the stops.

I ordered this on Sunday and recieved it on Tuesday , it fit perfect and only took about 15 minutes to install . I read the excellent reviews it had and took a gamble with it . Rv repair shop would have replaced the whole unit for a lot of money . Comes with everything you need including well illustrated instructions

So far it is working, this is my second one, they usually last about six to seven months, depending upon use.

Took less than an hour to install. I had to return the first one I bought since a B linkage was ordered, but I received an A style. I ordered a used one from amazon warehouse. The first one was an open box and was missing the hardware and instructions. The second one was also an open box but included everything and was the B style linkage. The only thing to remember is that the magnetic door switch (included in kit) may need to be changed if the step operates in reverse. (Step out when door closed and step in when door open.

Fácil de instalar, muy buena calidad .funcionamiento excelente ,espero nos dure mucho tiempo ,cuidado al ordenar que sea exactamente la letra de la serie que corresponde a tu RV,el nuestro es un Thor Windsport 2018,Clase A,le corresponde la letra B que es el bracito corto.... la pieza con letra A,es de brazo largo,nos equivocamos en la primera orden y tuvimos que cambiarlo,pero fue por error nuestro... recomiendo este producto. Realmente cuando los fabricantes cambian los números de parte ,se hace muy difícil encontrar entonces el correcto,a la hora de reemplazar y este es el caso de Lippert,ellos compraron Kwikee y ahora todas la partes tienen nomenclatura nueva,en fin,nos toca hacer mucho research para dar con lo que necesitamos,pero se logra,por ello sugiero a todos que compren partes para RV,que dejen sus comentarios porque esto ayuda mucho .
