Tilley Classic T3

Durable, comfortable except in really hot conditions. Better sun protection than sunblock.

Advertised and priced like it is made in Canada but when you get it the label says made in china. Quite disappointing, if I wanted a wuhan hat I could have had one for 14.00 instead of 80.00 bait and switch!!

My husband loves his Tilley hat. It is the best rain hat.

This hat is incorrectly listed as being made in Canada – IT IS NOT! Tilley has tried to hide the fact that they’ve moved much of their manufacturing to China. A quick side-by-side comparison of the same model made in Canada and one made in China show how dramatically the quality has decreased. I loved Tilley hats, I will no longer purchase one unless I can find one actually made in Canada (mostly old stock). The labels are deceptive – they now say ‘Designed in Canada’ in large type underneath that in much smaller type they say ‘Made in China.’ Obviously, the private equity guys who now own Tilley understand that their customers would not see offshoring of manufacturing as a positive. If you love Tilley hats, my recommendation is to find a local hat store and inspect the hat yourself before purchasing. Buy an original before their all gone. The two I’ve purchased on Amazon – each from a different seller – were both listed as made in Canada when they were not. Caveat emptor.

The hat was as promised, sturdy and it fit perfectly!

I love my Tilley hat, but I was disappointed that the natural color hat now has a green under-brim. When I bought this one, I thought I was buying the natural color, but it is closer to a taupe. I returned it.

I like the comfort and durability. Wear this hat everyday.

I was disappointed that Tilley advertised Canada as the Country of Origin. The label in the hat says “Made in China”.
