Great shorts for amazon basics brand.. very affordable..purchased for a trip to the USVI.. Not much of a short wearer so I needed some and these fit the need...

Good fit, but no flexibility. They are comfortable and they appear to be well made. I might buy another. -One thing...the pockets are all the way to the side. Normally pockets are closer to the front of your leg, but these pull your hands back and somewhat awkward.

I love these shorts. They look nice, fit perfectly, are comfortable, and are easy to put on and take off. I especially like the drawstring and pockets.

PROs: Comfortable, good price, good material, assembled well. They aren't perfect, but they worked well enough for me that I did reorder them.CONs: I would give these 5 stars instead of 3 if they made two improvements.First, they need to use a different drawstring. Although of a larger diameter, the drawstring is like one of those hard, non-stretchy, inflexible shoelaces that never stays tied. And, if you manage to tie enough knots to keep it tied, the drawstring itself has absolutely no stretch which can be uncomfortable. The drawstring needs to be more like the drawstrings used in most sweatpants and other athletic wear: softer, stretchier, and more flexible.Second, they need to do a better job assembling the elastic band in the waist--like the drawstring, it has too little stretch. It also needs to be more like most athletic shorts, swim suits, jogging pants, etc. It's almost like they didn't gather the material properly before they stitched it to the elastic. Combined with the drawstring problem above, the absence of waistband stretch can make it a problem to keep them up. I can't see that it would cost more in either labor or material to do it right. It's such an obvious problem and such a simple fix, I have to wonder if anyone wore the prototype for a day or two before committing to production.

We've now purchased four pairs of these shorts for my husband. He loves them and prefers them to other shorts costing twice as much. Good length for a 6'2" guy. Please, please bring the "raspberry red" color back in the XL size. That's the one color he wants that has been out of stock!!

Khaki Color is darker - more like a brown. For great and good value
