Epson C31CA85084 TM-T88V Thermal Receipt Printer (USB/Serial/PS180 Power Supply)

**Firstly, it is important to note that this printer does NOT include the communication cables! I know it doesn't specifically mention including them, however, most regular printers one purchases do include the USB cable in their boxes so I'm not sure why this printer wouldn't. I think it would be helpful to be explicitly noted in the listing, it will help all buyers be prepared to provide their own*** PERFORMANCE- We have been using these Epson printers for as long as we've been using our POS system, which is at least 15 years. We have only had to purchase 2 generations of these printers, meaning these are AMAZING. Long lasting, workhorse printers. One of our older original Epson printers was starting to have a faded area in the center of receipts so we decided to replace it with this newer model. We have already purchased one of these newer models years ago and so far they have proven just as dependable as the older model which seems to be very rare these days! Excellent performance and longevity. CABLES- This printer takes both a USB connection, as well as an RS 232 hookup if you still have a computer that uses one. Since the printer we were replacing was hooked up with the RS 232 cable, and since we didn't have the USB cable type that this printer requires, we opted to use our old RS 232 cable. INSTALLATION- Installation is foolproof. It is as simple as plugging in the cables and buying the power button. PAPER ROLLS- These printers take the 3 and 1/8" thermal paper rolls. Prices on these can fluctuate GREATLY depending on where you buy them, so I highly suggest you shop around!

Epson check printing machine is well know so it’s obviously great for our small business. But I would like to give 100 stars review to the company that was just amazing in helping us setting up the printer. Even when after 2 months return window lapsed and we decided to return one of the items, this company was so responsive. They processed the refund and return label immediately. Can’t say thank you enough!

You can't beat the TM-T88 series of printers. The serial version work great to swap out older nonfunctional models on our Aloha POS that need to be sent off for re-manufacturing (never throw one of these away, they can be rebuilt for $80-$100). Love the modular connection cards, if you need eithernet connection down the road just replace the card in the bottom. Make sure you set the dipswitches correctly to work with whatever POS system you are using. They are located in the bottom of the unit under the small silver panel secured with a phillips head screw.

I use this printer in my courier business to print the dispatch tickets after an order for a delivery is created. It prints the tickets fast and without errors. Some difficulty trying to get drivers for Windows 7 and our Windows 2008 Server, but once those were sorted out, all is great. Epson makes a good POS printer and you can't go wrong with this one.

This is my second epson receipt printer and I loved my first one until the lighting storm took it out. I decided to put my business logo on my receipts and it was a very easy process with this printer. Can adjust print speed from turtle to flash gordon speeds depending on your preferences. You will not be disappointed with these quality printers.

Had a hard time finding a compatible thermal printer but this unit worked without installing driver or issues, just plug and play. Had the older version TM-T80 thermal printer which was not compatible with alot of printer out there but glad I found this model. Got the new one and works very well, had it over couple months now without any issues. I just ordered another as backup if my other TM-T80 breaks down again.
