Tiny House Designing, Building, & Living (Idiot's Guides)

This is the 3rd book about tiny homes and BY FAR this is the best one!! The others just really tell stories and have pictures... this book is actually filled with information and its easy to understand. Every single thing you need to know about living or building a tiny home is in this book. And its actually really interesting and fun to read (and i don't like reading lol) So, if you are wanting to build tiny or thinking about it... BUY THIS BOOK over any other. The other 2 are nice but this one is by far the best as far as information, being able to understand and getting you ready. I mean, things you wouldn't even think of that you need to know are in this book about building and living tiny. i will stop now because i could go on and on haha, and by the way, I just got this book in the mail today and i already can't say enough good things about it. Its just amazing!!

There’s a lot of info in this book. But it’s assuming you will hire most of it done by a professional because the information given is somewhat general. The interior pictures are beautiful and show the creativity that’s possible in such a small space.

I have been intensively researching tiny house life for several years. I have a collection of online bookmarks, e-journals, a few books, and notes taken at various jamborees. This book is close to replacing all of those. Gabriella and Andrew have compiled a comprehensive and practical resource that will answer most of the questions that can be answered. My copy is full of underlines and stars, and I will continue to refer back to this reference as I continue to plan and build my tiny house life. It is simultaneously clear and thorough.

This book has everything you need to know to build a tiny house. I am a 66 year old female and am considering building a guest house on my daughter and son-in-law's property. I may decide to be the general contractor, with a lot of help from my friends and this book. Keep you posted!

Absolutely fantastic book!! So packed with information, super inspiring, and such an easy engaging read! This is hands down my favorite book I own. 10/10 would recommend!!

A book that is well-reseached, well-written, succinct but yet covers things I’ve never run into before. This information will make my future tiny home easier to finance, insure, reside in, etc. The Morrisons are leaders in the tiny house movement and were part of the A-Team which put Tiny Homes in the International Residential Code (IRC). Great information

Good advice on what to expect if you decide to build your tiny house along with good tips on preventing disasters while building. This is not a step by step guide on how to build a tiny house. One technical error in the book is when the author states [page 263] that "100w" means watts per hour not watts per day. This is incorrect, 100w means 100w. Your usage calculations will be kilowatt hours or watt hours but if something is 100W it uses 100W over any time, end of story.

This is more of a general reference book than a step-by-step how-to guide. It is comprehensive and covers just about every question one might ask about the designing, building and living in a THOW. My only quibble is that, I am based in Canada and parts of the book are strictly USA-centric. Nevertheless, I recommend it as an excellent THOW general reference guide.

Wer ein Tiny house bauen möchte, absolut empfehlenswert. Wir waren bei Andrew Morrisons Kurs in Köln. Er weiss wovon er spricht, natürlich sind die Baubestimmungen in Deutschland anders. Hier darf ein Tiny house viel weniger wiegen. Trotzdem wirst du sehr viel lernen!
