I bought this camera for my dad, he and my uncle are going on a trip to Machu Picchu, it has been their dream for several decades. I wanted to give them something to record their trip and show to the family when they came back. How wrong was I believing this camera was the right choice! The back display doesn't work and it overheats a lot, both battery and camera get really hot, so hot that the battery got swollen, this was a problem from the start, out of the box it didn't turn on and got really really hot. I requested support from amazon and the solution of the agent was for me to send the camera to the US, I had to pay the shipping, get a full refund, or accept the loss and take 25% refund. I am currently overseas, I bought this camera explicitly to be used overseas, the shipping from my location to US was more than $200, the cost of the camera is almost $300, the shipping is almost as expensive as the camera! Those two options weren't good for me. I requested to talk to a supervisor. The supervisor told me that there was no other option, and that they couldn't help me. Their recommendation was to look for a local retailer or electronics shop to get it fixed. How is it possible that Amazon recommends that?? And then he asked me if there was anything else they could help me with, I was writting that I was really disappointed, that I knew Amazon had more options, and he closed the chat before I could even respond! How rude! I've never requested a refund or replacement before, but this cheap trick cost me $300 + shipping. I've used Amazon since 2014, but this was the first and last this this happens to me. This is the last time using amazon, next time i'll go directly to the manufacturer or buy from other online stores. I'm very disappointed.

The video is awesome on it. After I download the video and erase the memory from the chip, every time I start recording again after about 10 min it says that memory is full and turns off. I then have to start it and reset it to start working again. Also almost every time I connect it to the app I have to reset it because it freezes and loses Bluetooth connection. Want a newer one but not with these problems I won’t.

Upon opening the box, I noticed the items inside were a little dusty, which was odd since they were packaged in the box. I also noticed some of the edges of the instruction manual were worn down. I think I may have received a used or refurbished GoPro -- which is not what I ordered. Unfortunately, the GoPro wouldn't turn on, neither with the battery or directly plugged in with the battery removed. No indicators, no LED lights, no sign of life at all. Bizarre experience. Immediately returned it to Amazon and will buy another from elsewhere.

The product I received was defective. When I turn it on the LED screen lights up but literally nothing else functions regardless of which buttons I push. Definitely returning this and ordering from somewhere else.
