Don't let the "geriatric" labeling fool you--this is perfect for anybody who needs to supplement their iron, not just elderly people! I'm not geriatric but I find this is the best bang for your buck with the easiest pills to swallow. I've tried many different brands of iron supplements over the years (usually whatever brand happened to be cheapest at whatever store I was at). I've had a few brands where the pills were difficult to swallow, even with a drink, due to the shape, size, or coating; they would get stuck in my throat no matter what I did. These pills go down very smoothly! The size, shape, and coating are perfect, and I have not had one get stuck in my throat. I would be willing to pay EXTRA for that, yet with this brand I'm actually paying LESS! I've never had an upset stomach from this iron supplement or any other brand, which many people do, so I can't say whether it's better or worse in regards to that. However I will be subscribing to this brand from now on.

Somewhat high in sodium.

These are a great supplement. Especially if you're anemic like me. I used to buy these all the time, but I had to stop buying them. I'm on a fixed income and the price for these kept going up so I had to go with a cheaper kind. But highly recommend, if you can afford it..
