Review: Practical mindset shift with some strong reminders on investing - I read Unshakeable as part of the Tony Robbins financial series and overall it’s a solid personal finance and mindset focused book. The strongest part is how it breaks down investing concepts in a way that feels approachable, especially if you are not very experienced with money or the stock market. It emphasizes long term thinking, emotional control during market swings, and not making fear based financial decisions. There are also a lot of reminders about fees, compounding, and staying consistent with investing rather than trying to time the market. Some of it is repeated across sections, but that repetition does help reinforce the main ideas. The tone is very motivational, which can be helpful if you are trying to build discipline around money habits, although at times it feels more inspirational than deeply technical. Overall, it’s a good read if you want a mix of financial basics and mindset reinforcement. Not groundbreaking if you already follow investing closely, but still useful for perspective and reminders. Review: A tremendous resource for your financial future - I think Unshakeable is the prequel to Tony Robbins last book, Money: Master the Game. This one is a much lighter read, but make no mistake, this is a tremendous resource for anyone just starting out, and it’s a valuable back-to-basics for even the most seasoned investor. If I’d had this book 20 years ago (and heeded it) I’d have lost less and made a lot more than I did starting out. Today it’s exactly what I needed as I watch the market heating up and feel my emotions start creeping into my investment strategy. HINT: That’s NOT a good thing! “Control what you can control.” – Tony Robbins Why should you read a book about financial freedom by a guy like Tony Robbins? Isn’t he a motivational speaker after all? Tony is a lot more than that, and he happens to be a self-made millionaire too. If you know a little about Tony you know that the secret of his speaking success is his ability to listen. This book isn’t about stuff Tony made up, this book is full of facts and advice from some of the most successful and respected people in the financial industry. Tony listened to them and now he’s passing what he learned on in this book. “You miss one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take.” – Wayne Gretzky Robbins covers so much in about 200 pages, so I won’t try to cover it all here. After a signature high-energy start to his book, Tony gives you his seven “Freedom Facts”, facts that I won’t list here, although I’m sure others will, because in the book he backs up these plain spoken facts with historical and statistical data that drive home his points. You could just skim the book for those seven bullet statements, but please don’t, read it and arm yourself with knowledge that will make you an unshakeable manager of your own finances. (Sorry, had to do that!) I had the privilege of reading a pre-release copy of this book, but I’ve already purchased the Kindle version so I can start over and highlight the heck out of it. Thank you Tony! My only complaint is that he didn’t write it 20 years ago.

Short version: Buy index funds... A good first read or review, but no new insights for knowledgeable investors
On Tony: I've been a fan for over ten years, since I first read Unlimited Power, and it changed my life. I purchased Money: Mastering the Game when it came out and read it immediately. On other investment books: I've read Ben Graham's The Intelligent Investor, as well as Happy Money, Rich Dad Poor Dad and other books on the topic of wealth creation. On Unshakeable: Unshakeable reads like a condensed version of Money: Mastering the Game. In short, buy Index Funds, keep an eye out for fees, and brokers are salesmen who do not have your best interests as a priority. It contains a useful checklist of questions to ask an advisor to understand their incentives. Like the previous book, Unshakeable is book-ended with tips on mastering your psychology, and creating fulfillment in addition to success. Overall, this book is underwhelming. Light on details and very short. (256 pages, compared to Money: MtG's 688 pages.) The stuff on psychology and state is covered more in depth in Unlimited Power and Awaken the Giant Within. Would I recommend this book? If you are not familiar with investing at all, and don't want to trudge through thousands of dry pages to come up with your investment strategy, I would recommend this book. If you are not familiar Robbins' work in general, this gives a quick primer. For those who have read his three previous books, this one isn't bringing anything considerable to the table.

Great Financial Advice!
There are a few books that I have read, and even before I finished them, realized that they changed something significant about my life. Unshakeable: Your FInancial Freedom Playbook by Tony Robbins is one of those. It wasn’t that the principles here are new to me. The concepts are actually pretty simple to grasp. Don’t operate out of fear, or invest according to emotion. Make your decisions based on logic. Invest for the long term. Compounding interest always wins. Minimize tax liability and fees. Diversify to protect yourself when down times come. Invest more when everything is on sale. Rebalance your investments, preferably annually. Just because I shared these basic highlights does not mean you do not need to read the book. Far from it. They absolutely mean you need to read it, because all of the principles in the list make sense, and you can know you should do them, but unless you know how, that knowledge is useless. You could flounder about on your own: I have done so most of my life. You can remake the mistakes others have made, and learn on your own. But that will be (and has been) an expensive choice. You can sit on the sidelines, living in fear and keeping your assets and investments in cash rather than getting into investing at all. This is the surest way to lose, especially with today’s low interest rates. Or you can instead learn from the masters. Read Tony’s book and not only will you learn from him, but you will learn from those he has known and worked with, some of the wealthiest and most successful investors on the planet. You will also learn how to choose a financial advisor of your own, where to set up your retirement funds and how, and even more. I can’t say enough about this book, but I can’t leave the review without talking about the final chapter, something I have been talking about and trying to master the last few years. Tony tells you of his journey and gives you his advice about how to be personally wealthy--in a beautiful state rather than a suffering state no matter what your circumstances. This takes a disciplined mind, and it is only a disciplined mind that will follow the advice outlined in this book. The biggest obstacle to your success in any area is you, and this book will teach you how to overcome that in more than just your finances. Five stars. Well done. Well edited and written. If you don’t read another book about building wealth and finances this year, make reading this one a top priority. You won’t regret it.

" The younger you are the better the odds are of being successful in this important ...
Well written and, in typical Tony Robbins fashion, inspiring. This is the big picture view; the forest, not the trees. It focuses on how you can use your own skill set to reach financial goals that will free you to live life on your terms. The principles and necessary guidance to reach financial freedom are all here. You are the one who sets the goals and exerts the effort but Tony explains clearly the steps to take. The book offers anyone the opportunity to improve their financial well being through understanding what to do and how "the game is played." The younger you are the better the odds are of being successful in this important area of one's life. The book explains in clear, concise language how to develop your own plan for financial freedom. The question that needs to be asked is: do you want to have that as one of your goals. It does not happen with a snap of the fingers but it also does not require a college degree. Tony does explain what it takes along with how to do it in an entertaining way. He goes beyond that though by incorporating a financial partner who details the directions in finding and using a good financial advisor if that is what fits in for your goals. I have given a copy of the book to all of my children, including one who is a certified financial planner. He said that he thought it was very good and loaded with sound advice.

Get A Bookmarker Stickies!
You're gonna need it. I haven't finished reading it yet, but I have already marked it to death with my bookmarker stickies. When I first bought these trilogy, I didn't have any expectation that they're going to help me in anyway except for getting me motivated to do something for my retirement. But now that I'm reading it, and already put some of these strategies to work, I find that it has made me much more of aware of the pitfalls and how to avoid them. I'd recommend that you buy them. Even if you'd never put any of his strategies to use, you'd still learn a lot about money and how it impacts your life.

But does it work....yes!
Great information. It was clear and easy to understand. I tired some of the suggestions as I was reading. Note I started this book jus prior to the "covid crash" (I made that up) so I called up my advisor ( who I had Learned was duly registered thanks to Tony ) and what do you know he did everything the book said he would do. He kept pushing to get me to invest more than I said I wanted to and he did all those fees that we're going to make him money. Now mind you I'm a little fish and don't have boocoos of money to invest however based on the calculations in the first year alone I would have given away $1,800. So I decided to call creative planning. Turns out this little fish has very little and didn't have enough liquid assets for need to have a managed account. They gave me some tips to put me on a mailing list that's continued to help me at zero expense. I followed their advice along with Tony's book have been able to make some Investments that have been successful. Even more so I was able to create a chart comparing what my dual-registered advisor said compared to the advice from creative Solutions and the book where I can visually see how those recommendations day after day outperformed the recommendations of my dual advisor.

Significant wealth is reliably within your grasp. Here is how you do it.
Best book on building, protecting and passing-on personal wealth that I have read. It is full of sensible, practical and proven advice...advice that has been proven to work by many highly successful investors. This is the essential playbook that the most successful professional investors have used. Tony Robins interviewed and learned from a wide range of the most successful wealth-builders of our time and then distilled the learnings into his own wealth-building actions and finally into this easily read book. No matter what your experience is in investing, you will find the information in this book useful. It is worth reading more than once. And worth applying starting now, no matter how much wealth you have now. Having had some success myself in building wealth using practices very similar to those in Robin's book, I was so taken with the advice and strategy outlined in Robins book that I bought copies for all my family and close friends. Be 'UNSHAKEABLE' in applying the methods in this book if you want significant financial success.
