Works for my carpal tunnel (apple pencil)
I am a student and write a lot of notes. I love writing notes, but my hand hurts pretty bad soon after starting. This tool works by increasing control while decreasing the amount of grip strength needed to control your pencil/pen when writing. It also corrects your writing posture without being awkward and uncomfortable. Fortunately, it fits over an Apple Pencil, which is what I use to take notes more often than not. I take it off to charge it, but it’s not like you need to charge an Apple Pencil multiple times a day.

TOO SMALL
a diameter to accommodate most writing implements. Fits super fine point (skinny) erasable pens and my mom's old, dainty (skinny) Parker (kind of--but extremely hard to insert) • Concept: 5 • Comfort: 2 (a) SMALL HANDS ONLY (my hands are quite small): 4 (b) REG/LG HANDS: fail (0 stars) • Convenience/practicality for someone needing such an object: 1 star VERY challenging. There is no way my kiddo could set this up/change pen/pencil, etc. (similar for many with RA/arthritis, etc.), and neither can I on a bad day. That stated, many with fine motor/hand issues have someone to assist them with this task. We use a lot of color coding in our life, so if set up, we would need about 10 of these pre-"loaded" to better accommodate such. Furthermore, with the erasable pen, I find it very challenging--almost impossible--to use the eraser. I have 2 dynamics when trying to use this product: 1. I lose track of thoughts during the time I'm fiddling with an erasure/correction; and 2. I get exhausted trying to use this device. Composite Score: ~2.8

Works pretty good
Great for arthritis fingers but only fits skinny pens. Hard to slip on and off but works great when I can get them on my pens.

This helped my grip better so that my thumb didn't hurt while writing with pen.
I disliked that it only fits regular sized pens but I'm ok with that because there are lots of regular sized pens available in several stores. It was great with handling and writing. And it came with the pen in the image too which was awesome. I didn't expect that! I only expected the ring pen gripper by itself so it was so nice that they sent the pen too!

Not helpful
As a motor neuron disease sufferer, I did not find this to be helpful at all.

Uncomfortable and unhelpful
I have arthritis but love writing and am in desperate need of an assistive device so I can continue doing so by hand. Maybe it's just because I've never used something like this before but to me it's extremely uncomfortably and unwieldy. Rather than alleviating any of my arthritic issues it just adds on a new challenge of trying to balance this cumbersome product.

Life saving device
I've had this for a month and I love it. I just ordered two more. I have a problem squeezing anything with my thumb and this device completely eliminates the need to do that to hold a pen. It does take some getting used to since it feels a bit weird when you first start using them. It's designed specifically for either a stick pen or pencil, so if you use pens that are thicker than that you may have a little bit of trouble getting them in. But once you get them in it's great. I wish they sold them in multiple packs.

Good writing tool
Good assistive device! Got the small & it would work for small female hands and kids. I wear a ring size 5.75 on my ring finger and this was pretty tight. Great for weaker grips and to minimize pressure on impaired finger joints due to arthritis or other injuries.
