Wooster 1832/1831 Painters Brush Comb

This is my favorite brush cleaner! Oddly, they are not stocked at the big box stores any longer. The brass brush does a great job a the fine cleaning of your brushes allowing them to used for many painting jobs over years. It pays for itself quickly!

I have to say, the first time I used my trim brush after using this comb, I noticed a difference (and the brush was in pretty good shape to begin with). The paint went on a lot more smoothly. I've used it a few more times since, and continue to be happy with it. The brass side is the reason I bought this one, and it really does help comb out the small globs of paint that inevitably collect in your brushes. The brass bristles on the comb are already starting to bend a little bit, but I still expect this comb to last a while. The stainless side of the comb helps with rinsing. This comb won't work miracles and bring really old or neglected brushes back to life, but it's a nice one. I'd buy it again.

Just what every brush needs,excellent..

Having used other combs and cleaning brushes, and destroyed them, this painter's comb and brush is a welcome addition to my paint brush collection. I have a hard time imagining how you could bend these bristles. These brass bristles are meant to be used without much force, let them work through the paint brush bristles. I have used another comb and it fell apart the first day; this product is much more skookum. Cleaning paint brushes in not an easy task, this is a good tool that used correctly sure looks like it could last a lifetime. That is not to say that other tools might not be needed as well, but buy this one, it's worth it.

This comb does exactly what it is supposed to do. The brass bristles are a nice addition to the standard wood handle painter's comb. The handle is a very comfortable and sturdy composite material that feels like you could run over it with a tank. For the price it is a no-brainer.

Used the wire brush more than the comb. It is great for removing dried on paint from bristles. I can see how the comb will work well with brushes where the paint has been left to dry before cleaning.

This tool was great for cleaning my paint brushes with two options for cleaning paint off with water.
