This review is updated after a bad experience. Sharing the lesson learnt. It worked like a charm with Alexa on the first day. Then, it stopped responding to voice commands. It was not showing up on the devices list in Alexa app. It worked fine on the Wipro app. to solve the problem i uninstalled alexa and wipro to restart everything but it didn't work. I tried to relink with alexa withing the wipro app. it didn't work. Then the following worked - 1.Open Alexa app 2. Go to skills 3. search wipro smart home 4. now disbale the skill 5. Go to the Wipro app and connect with alexa again. it will work.

Don’t Buy – Warranty is Useless Without Original Box I regret buying this Wipro LED light. Initially, it worked fine, but within a couple of months it stopped working. When I contacted customer support for warranty, I was shocked to learn that they would only process the warranty if I shipped the product back in the original box with proper packaging. Honestly, who keeps the original product box for 1–2 months after purchase? Most people discard it once they confirm the product is working. Expecting customers to store packaging just in case the product fails is unreasonable. The warranty sounds good on paper, but it’s practically useless if you don’t have the box. Very disappointing after-sales service. I would not recommend this product unless you're ready to store packaging materials for the entire warranty period. Buy at your own risk.

Overall a good product. Installation is very easy, brightness is quite high-low as per need and the usage of the app is also very hand.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I believe this is the only rgb tube light available at this price point. Everyone else is selling strips that requires a lot of DIY or plain rgb tubelights. This has dedicated white light so brightness in non-rgb mode is as good as any other tubelight. Getting the product paired with the software is tricky, but smooth sailing then onwards. Comes with customisable circadian rhythm settings and if you have Iot sensors, you can create scenes too (haven't tried this yet). Check if there's a discount on the combo pack if you are planning to buy more than one.

1. Colour patterns- it is hardly able to create some 8-10 shades or colours. It shows 100s of colours in the application but the batton is not able to create the colours. It is only able to create some basic shades. For eg violet purple blue are all same. 2. Application - its very basic and has compatibility issues with some devices like tablets or folding phones. It works fine with normal phones and integrates easily with alexa voice assistant. Philps and solimo application gives many more options like effect of burning fireplace or self colour changing. 3. Connectivity - you will need 2.4 ghz wifi, which is pretty much available for all wifi providers. However the light keeps on self resetting frequently about once in a month, without any current fluctuations. And this makes using the light very troublesome, because the light is unusable until you reinstall the light and it can take 1 to 20 attempts to connect a light with wifi. This means 1 minute to several hours of frustration. 4. Looks- the baton does not look premium its very basic plastic quality and can fit in an average household, not recommended for a well decorated or designed room. Leds from inside the baton are visible in some light settings. I think wipro and several other companies are just buying generic devices from China and rebranding them in own brand name and selling in India, which results in poor quality devices.

Giving this 4 stars mainly because of the price — it’s a good value for what you get, but there are some compromises. White Light Performance: This is where it shines. Bright and clean, with excellent warmth control. However, the brightness scaling is poor — even at 1%, it feels like 20%. There’s no truly dim setting, which can be a problem at night. RGB Mode: Mostly a gimmick. It's dim, and color accuracy is poor, except for primary colors. Red is the brightest, followed by green and blue. If you stick to basic RGB, it’s usable, but don’t expect rich or consistent tones. Size & Installation: It’s smaller than a regular tubelight, which caught me off guard. I initially tried double-sided tape, but it didn’t hold well. Eventually had to call Urban Company to install it properly. Connectivity: Surprisingly smooth. It works well with Smart Life (recommended over the clunky Wipro app) and syncs seamlessly with Alexa . Bottom Line: If you're mostly looking for affordable white light with smart features, it’s a solid pick. Just don’t buy it for the RGB, and be prepared to work around the installation.
