best protein bars
CLIF BUILDERS Protein Bars are legit one of the best protein bars I’ve had. Great taste, solid protein, and they actually keep me full without that chalky aftertaste. Perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout snack.

Good snack, mediocre self-defense weapon
Not to speak in hyperbole, but these bars have been a godsend. I'm of slight build and very rarely feel the pangs of hunger in my stomach regardless of food intake (or lack thereof), so without noticing it I essentially just slow down due to lack of calories/carbs/etc as the day progresses. Ever since I started including these bars into my diet as a snack at work I never feel tired. I'm also incredibly frugal, but these were easy to justify the price of when the benefits were so obvious. Two 12-pack boxes when it's marked down at a low price means that it's roughly going to be a dollar and some change per workday for a quality snack. Not bad, and slightly cheaper than what you'd pay for a vending machine candy bar. As far as taste/texture, I really enjoy what they put into them. I'm not a foodie by any stretch and find little pleasure in anything I eat, but I look forward to eating these bars. I even eat them when I'm not working/don't need the boost, so that's saying something. They're not overpoweringly sweet and, most importantly for me, they taste great when chilled (not frozen; you'll break your teeth). The texture of the bar is complex, with a typical soft chocolate top layer covering a crunchy core. The best way I can describe the inner core is like an organic cereal purchased by your fancy friends who insist that organic everything is the only way to live (it's not, but whatever). If you understand that, then you have a pretty accurate idea of what you're getting. I guess the gist of it is that it doesn't feel like a corporate manufactured kids food, it feels a little more finely crafted and selective of its ingredients. But it's not so artisanal that you feel like one of those yippy toolboxes that think synth music is worth listening to and use more than 5 words to describe the cup of coffee they're ordering. Give it a rest, your BS complex coffee order is not impressing the sorta-cute-but-far-too-tattooed-to-not-be-difficult-in-a-relationship barista and you're just making the wait in line that much longer for the people behind you. One thing that annoyed me was likely outside of Clif's (Clif Bar's?) hands: crumbly stuff inside the wrapper. Depending on how carelessly Amazon ships them, or what time of year you order them, they can come chock full of tiny flakes of chocolate that get everywhere. I've had batches that were great, and then I've had a few where Amazon allowed them to semi-melt somewhere along the line and it basically snows chocolate all over your clothes/desk as soon as you open the wrapper. Chilling before opening didn't help either, the damage is done if it has a chance to melt. I'm basically insane when it comes to things like this, so if you're the same... I don't know what to say. Deal with it? They're worth the slight mental anguish and clean-up time. I wrote all of this for a glorified candy bar. Sorry that you read all of it?

These chocolate bars are probably my favorites of the CLIF Builders brand
These bars are just plain delicious! I am so glad I discovered them. I've reviewed some other flavors before, but these chocolate ones are probably at the top of my favorites list. So good.

good and easy
I am trying to gain a bit of muscle weight as I am underweight and was recommended to eat protein bars. these are easy for me to eat as a snack even when I do not have much of an appetite. I like how it provides a good amount of nutrition for simply unwrapping the wrapper. good for eating before doing any exercise as well. the taste is good, not super sweet and also not fake or funky tasting. I like the little crunch of the cookie pieces. I would recommend this flavor

Great taste for being a protein bar
Great taste for the dollar. Granted its a protein bar and they dont taste like leading chocolate brands, but not bad in my opinion

Average bar with high protein
Honestly, I was excited for these because they had high protein, and no substitute sugars and I love cookies and cream flavor. The taste was very average and almost bland. You do get 20g of protein which is awesome but I felt myself sort of dreading finishing the whole bar because of how bland it was. It's not BAD, it's just not great. However, it's valued very nicely compared to other protein bars given the cost per gram of protein. I believe this one is also a plant base protein. The texture is alright, sort of dry but not terrible with a bit of a crunch. Overall, for the value, they're great if you're looking for a lower cost protein bar to be filling and meet your protein needs. If you're looking for taste and texture, I'd probably try some other ones.

GOOD TASTE AND INGREDIENTS
I LIKED THE TASTE AND TEXTURE AND INGREDIENTS. CLOSE TO $2.00 EACH. OTHER CLIF BARS CLOSE TO $1.50 EACH. I THINK IT IS WORTH IT AS I LIKED IT BETTER THAN THE CHOCOLATE CLIF BARS I BOUGHT.

Simple Vegan Protein Bar
Checks the big boxes for me Vegan- check Complete Protein- check No Artificial Sweeteners- check Real sugar means 80 or so more calories than other bars with similar protein content. I'm active and mostly vegan so I care more about hitting my daily protein goals than minimizing my calories at the expense of GI discomfort- which erithrytol, allulose, etc. are likely to do. No funny food math you'll see in other bars, like: "net carbs = carbs - fiber - sugar alcohols" What you see is what you get. I'm not saying this is a replacement for a real meal, but if I need something on the go, this is a lot better for my needs than a candy bar or a protein bar full of who-knows-what. Chocolate PB is my favorite, but chocolate and chocolate mint are also fine. None of the bars are mind-blowing from a flavor or texture perspective, but I don't get sick of them. Great product in a market crowded with junk. Also, these are an amazing deal if you can get them for close to $1/bar, which isn't too rare with subscribe and save discounts.

Craving almond cake? Get some of these! Keep them out of the fridge or it will be hard to chew. Gets extra points for being vegetal protein.
