US Made
Top quality! Extremely well made brass and rubber! Has plastic covers but what you expect when mostly everything is overpriced and junk... No comparison with other Chinese garbage. I got this used/open box item for about half price. Previous buyer cross threaded one fitting I used tap n die set and thread restorers, etc. Fixed perfectly with no leaks! This is Superior rubber hose with quick connection. Extremely happy at the price I paid, yet worth full price especially if you're planning on using it frequently. It's not a throw away like numerous others. Brass body is strong and solid especially since you know I was able to fix the threads. No purge valve. Use only on older car ac! The newest cars have different so be aware of that. If you own or work on 94-2016 you are good

Good manifold set, excellent value for money
Manifold set works well, easy to purge the lines, nice readable gauges, easy to use. Add a can tap, and vacuum pump and any a/c job is simple and easy to get right.I did order a set of replacement yellow jacket seals, but so far i have not had to use them. The original seals seem good and hold pressure and vacuum as i would expect. I have used this set a dozen or more times on a number of vehicles, flawless performance. If you are a pro mechanic then a higher end set would make sense, but for the DIY or lower use mechanic, this set is just fine, and is a very reasonable price for US made quality.

Manifold Gauge Set - great value - worked flawlessly
I bought this manifold gauge set to pull a vacuum on my 2003 Suburban which had a leaky high side port. The shop supposedly fixed the port, but it began to leak again. I bought a new evaporator line from Amazon and replace the entire line. The gauge set was packed in a clamshell plastic case, which is not very good, I would have preferred an actual case with a handle. The only other down side is that this set does not have a sight glass, but I am not sure that is necessary. It worked to pull a sustained 29 vacuum on the system and appears to be made of quality materials. Overall a good value.

Great quality, and much more accurate then what I have had prior.
Everything came in a thick blister pack, well oackaged. Everything easily put together, and worked with great accuracy. Happy with them!

Great Guage Set, But Mine Was Missing One Hose Gasket. Replaced Without Issue & New Set Works Great.
Mastercool & Yellowjacket are basically the 2 high end guage set manufacturers. Don't waste your time with some of the slightly cheaper other versions on here. Yes, they may be $10-20 more than some other brands, and they don't come with a pretty case. The only reason I gave this item 3 stars instead of 5 is that my set came without a gasket or depressor on one side of the high pressure hose. I should have inspected it before connecting to the vehicle, but since I didn't I had a good bit of refrigerant leak out when I let go of the connection. When I posted a question about it someone else responded saying that they had the exact same problem, so apparently this problem is more systemic than it should be. On the plus side...if this happens to you just return it using Amazon's great return policy. Hopefully the replacement won't have the same problem. It will cause you to wait an extra 2-3 days, but when you are done you get a good high quality guage set for what I consider to be a great price. Other places this set might cost up to $100.

Cornwell rebrand
Cornwell rebrands Mastercool products as their own. These things are made in the USA, and they work. I picked up this set after the suction line gasket on my Pittsburgh set failed, great decision I made. I’ve used these countless times on cars. My only gripe is that the low side quick connect on my set has an issue where it’s not pulling back enough to allow male ends on connections to push the ball bearings out of the way, making it more difficult to fit onto. These things don’t have a sight glass or purge valve, but that isn’t really a deal breaker in my book.

I should not have dismissed the negative reviews for this set! I ran out to get the maligned Harbor Freight set, but it works!
I bought this last year for a project I was doing which got put on hold so I didn't get a chance to use this gauge set. I recently bought a motorhome that needed the ac system repaired and recharged because it was completely empty. So this is the first time I got to use it. Though it appeared to work correctly it had a major defect I wasn't aware of until it caused me a lot of grief trying to figure out what was going on. I was able to recharge the ac system and it seemed to be working correctly but none of the pressure readings on the gauges made any sense. The high side never read higher than about 50 psi. To make a long story short what I found is that when connecting the high side connector to the service port it would pick up pressure from the system, but it wouldn't read any higher. On examining the high pressure connector I discovered that the center pin that pushes on the Schrader valve to open it is set too far back to open the valve. When first pushed on it momentarily opens the valve because you are pushing on slightly farther than when it snaps into place. I used my old service port to see if it would open when connected the quick connect. It does not open the valve at all when snapped into position. You can get to open very slightly if you push it in until it bottoms out, but this is not the normal operating position. In comparing this quick to the Harbor Freight set I bought the center pin is twice as deep as the HF set. Poor quality control as many reviews stated. Much to my regret I dismissed the negative reviews!
