A PERFECT family game to introduce kids to logic and reasoning
My daughter loves this game. I was skeptical because some people have criticized the game. It's not as complex as the original CLUE, but for a child, it's perfect to introduce them to the basic concept of logic games. This has helped build up her understanding of how to work out a logic puzzle and we're about to introduce the regular game of CLUE. That being said, she LOVES the figures in this game and enjoys it every time we play it. Adults may get bored with it after a while, but it's not supposed to be a game for adults. It's for families with kids. And it's perfect for that purpose.

My four year old loves this game
This is such a fun version of Clue! My four year old can play it. They love the fact that it's someone stealing the cake, they find it so hilarious. We changed the rules a little bit in regards to finding a person, as you can only look under a person if you roll a white but we found we stalled out, not being able to progress as no one was rolling a white and we figured everything else out. So we started rolling so we can land on a person and being able to see under them and rolling a white so see under any person. Not sure if that was just left out of the instructions or not but way better and faster to play like that. Our kids attention span isn't that long anyways so it worked so much better.

6 year old loves this game!
I bought this game for my daughter, and she LOVES it! We've played 5 nights in a row, and she's won 4 of those times. It takes her a long time to record her clues, but its great that she thinks about it so carefully. Wonderful game for introducing logic and information analysis, both important skills for future math problems! Its a bit more complex to set up than your typical games for young ones, but once you get the hang of it, its fine. This game is tenfold better than the pure luck games kids board games -- I'm perfectly willing to play it every night!

Cute take on a classic!
Our 5 year old had a lot of fun playing this game with us. It was nice to have a kid friendly mystery to solve instead of the murder in the original. The character pieces are fun and the rules easy to learn. There are 2 downsides: 1) the board needs to be bigger. Pieces were often to crowded causing both the kids and adults to repeatedly knock pieces over when moving another. 2) there are white tokens that you shuffle and put under the characters. They are annoying to try and move with the characters as they are thin and hard to grab. If you flip them and try to stick the character bases into them they repeatedly fall off, exposing the clue if they flip when falling off.

Fun game for kids
Love this kid version of clue. It takes a minute to understand that you mark off each room when you visit it on the paper. Doesn't really explain that in the instructions. When playing, you have to find out who has the cake crumb token under them, at what time, and what they drank with it. Also, you have to push hard to get the white tokens onto the characters. It's a fun game that the kids love to play, although my 5 year old does get bored and does something else. My 6 yr old does pretty good, gets distracted easy and have to keep telling them it's their turn, but kept playing til the end. Reccomend 6 or older depending how patient your child can be.

I have played it (my most favorite game growing up
I ordered this game to use in my elementary SpEd classroom. The kids were SOOOO EXCITED when I pulled it out to show them what we got!! It was a tad bit confusing to put the stickers on the chips when getting everything ready to play, but we finally figured it out. After that, it was GAME ON!! My students have never played the original Clue game, so this is a novelty to them! I have played it (my most favorite game growing up!), and, in my opinion, this one compares nicely!! The paper that each player uses to sort the clues out makes each player cross off the information that they discover while playing the game. So, in the end, they deduce who ate the cake, at what time, and what they drank with it. It's very simple to play once you run through a few dice rolls & use the instructions. My students picked it up and are LOVING IT!!! They're using skills (inferencing, drawing conclusions, predictions, critical thinking, and strategies) they didn't know how to do before we started. It's making a couple of them communicate more, and everyone is thoroughly enjoying themselves and their company.

This game is great for tha whole family
I bought this game for my 4 kids for Christmas. My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 5. Trying to find a game we can all play isn't easy. With this game you can have up 6 players. All my kids love this game and it's not so cheesy that as parents we don't to play. My husband, my kids and I have play quite a few times and really enjoyed it.

We love this game and we play this game 4 - 6 times a week. I have scanned the game template/notepad in order to print as needed which I think is necessary since you cannot purchase it separately.

The description on Amazon said "The case of the missing cake", but I received "The case of the broken toy". This one is ok too, my children like it , but I would have preffered the other one.
