This is a highly useful and well-made product. It was one of the few GFCI power strips we could find and it is unusually slender for a GFCI option. We installed ours at the start of a run of undercabinet power strips that is completed with the complementary non-GFCI versions from Legrand/Wiremold downstream (as is recommended). These really are about the most concealed option you can find for undercabinet power strips, at least as a DIYer. The instructions could be better. In particular, it was hard to understand how to add an end cap, and when it was needed. By studying the sparse instructions and watching videos on YouTube, we were able to figure it out. Also, I recommend highly that you look into end to end wire clips to connect the lead wires, seeking the smallest ones you can find in order to get your wires into the strip – this is especially helpful for the non-GCFI versions. Wire nuts do not fit easily but small wire clips do. We are DIYers and easily installed these, though we did have an electrician install the hard wiring in the appropriate spots of our walls to make the run under our cabinets. Now that I got the hang of installing these, I would not hesitate to use them many times again. And any good electrician you work with will be able to figure it out.

We recently replaced our backsplash in our kitchen and wanted to remove the plug outlets in the wall. We had seen several videos on using these plug strips underneath the cabinets and decided to give these a try. We bought both the gfci and non-gfci for different areas in our kitchen. They were a little tricky to install and my husband had to get creative to get all the wires inside the plug mold. I liked that you can cut them to the size that you need. Having the plug strip under the cabinet, definitely makes the backsplash look cleaner and more sleek. My only complaint is that it’s not easy to plug Something in or remove the plug but it’s not that difficult either. I feel like I have to use extra strength to push the plug in or pull it out. There weren’t too many options for these hardwired power strips, but these seem to be the best option.

Need a special connector does not come with it. Hard to find if the power is coming into the middle of the run very awkward one star should come with the connector.

I found these extremely difficult to install in an under cabinet application. It's easy enough to install the back plate, just a few screws and done but getting the front panel to latch was a major hassle. The online instructions say just bang the front panel with your hand. This is just a joke, for one thing banging up like that is difficult but it didn't work no matter how hard I tried. I have the bruises on my hand from it. In the end I used a rubber mallet but even that took many attempts before I could get the panel to lock on. I think I am generous giving three stars but they do look great and having the built-in GFCI is a big advantage.
