If you’ve bought an inexpensive soldering iron lately then you absolutely must buy this set of tips. While soldering irons do come with a set of tips they are complete junk. I’ve recently replaced my expensive but elderly iron with two new ones for reasons. I quickly found out that the included tips disintegrated after just a handful of uses. Even though I clean and tin my tips after every use! I’ve never had that happen. So back to Amazon I went to try and find a set of tips that would hopefully NOT crumble into dust. And most importantly be affordable. I decided on this product after some research and review reading. I’ve now been using these tips heavily for a month. I make stained glass pendants which means a lot of precise fiddly soldering. I have these tips on both irons, one for lead free the other for use with my 63/37 solder. I’m happy to report that there has been no degradation at all. I’ll definitely be purchasing these again when needed. Great price for an unexpectedly quality product.

Solid set of soldering tips that cover all the basics. The variety in shapes has been useful for different projects, and the extras like the sponge and sandpaper are a nice touch. Tips heat up well and hold up fine with regular use. If you're looking for a reliable backup or just want to expand your options without spending much, this kit is definitely worth it.

The outer diameter was larger than stated but I made one fit in my old Weller iron. I don't own a metal lathe so I reverted to turning it down using files and my drillpress. Once I got it to fit the iron it has worked beautifully ever since. It tins nicely, not like my old worn out Weller tip which had become almost totally useless. This tip will probably last me another ten year. I hope so. If not, I'll provide an update to this post. Bottom line: As long as you are either lucky and it fits your iron right out of the package or you are resourceful and have the means (and patience!) to make it fit, these tips will do you nicely for the price.

Work fine and are exactly what I needed.

The 900m tips in this set are of good quality and very close to genuine Hakko tips in weight and fitment on the heating element. The rest of the stuff in the kit is a bonus as I bought it for the tips. Would recommend over other cheap replacement 900m tips as these are made to a higher standard.
