Great add for a long zip line.
Works great. We have a 140’ zip line and used 2 of these to slow the kids down after 1 was an abrupt stop. Works perfect, kids can ride alone without me catching them now.

Great product
Perfect for zip line , this has slowed m and my kids down to a safe stop all summer and winter , easy to use and the length is correct as advertised, great quality and value for the cost .

Good addition to zipline
I had to add this compression spring to the kids' backyard zipline. One spring did not slow the kids down enough. I cannot fault spring #1 since the zipline is 100+ feet long and fairly steep so the kids fly down. They hit the deceleration zone quite fast. The extra spring and four (4) long bungies solved the problem. The kids were adamant they did not want to go slower and they actually relish the "bounce back" from the "arrest system." Both springs show no rust in our rather harsh environment.

Zip line stop
I bought this to install on my zip line that I put up for my grandchildren. It is not as strong as I thought it was going to be and that was a little disappointing. It works but I would not recommend for use on a zip line stop.

Helps a lot, adds gentler braking.
This brake helped a lot with the zipline I bought. We put it on after we had already installed it with the little brake that came with the kit. The 5 year old and 9 year old grand kids were not stopping well with the other brake, and this brake added some gentler braking. We just had to take the cable down, thread it through the spring brake, and then put it back up. I am hoping it won't rust-- if it doesn't, it will be pretty perfect. This brake was installed on a 250 lb. weight limit cable.

Perfect for adding zipline safety
I used a 3/8 cable and drilled the rubber to a larger hole. My cable has about a 7 deg slope, so speed is so great. With my nearly 200lb mass at 7 deg, it stops me very well. The stopping isn't so abrupt that it is uncomfortable, but certainly does the trick. I highly recommend this to anyone adding a zipline for your kids to use.

Works great when paired together for long fast zip lines!
Paired 2 together for a 75yd zip line across a pond. Works great for the kids and does an awesome job assisting the adults in the slow down.

Used it on a Zipline , put 2 on because 1 is just not long enough , 1 is 5 ft , but with 2 gives you almost 11 ft which when compressed still keeps away from tree/ pole without hitting it, . With 1 you would swing right into the tree/pole . Our Zipline is about 135 ft between 2 trees with a 3% drop and a child about 80lbs is well away from bottom tree with room to spare.

Works for slower speeds/gradient, otherwise need additional brake. Ours was only17m long at 4degree slope and you would swing high when it fully compressed against the stop block. Eventually one of the rubber ends broke off but it still works.

> Please consider different packaging for this item: the 6.5’ long spring arrived very tangled in a plastic bag. - I enjoy puzzles, so untangling it was somewhat satisfying. That being said, it did take about 15-20mins; so if you lack patience & do not want to untangle a 6.5’ stiff spring perhaps not for you. *Placing spring in a plastic sleeve would fix issue
