This wireless microphone set is easy to use, seems well-built, and does exactly what it is supposed to do. The microphones have what's called super-cardioid pickup pattern, meaning they have a very small pickup pattern, mostly in front of the diaphragm. When your mouth is 1-3 inches away the sound is as good as any consumer-level microphone I've ever heard; and they won't pick up a lot of unwanted ambient sound. The construction of the microphones seems very solid. The body is metal, not plastic, and they're actually kind of heavy. Not to the point of not being able to hold them for long, but heavy as in: it feels like if you drop one, it won't break because it's metal. One drawback to this construction is that these microphones are very thick... So thick that none of my standard microphone holders for use with stands will fit these - and they don't come with microphone holders, either. My application is such that I need these to be able to be attached to desk or boom stands. As this set comes, they can only be used hand-held. If the microphones weren't so thick, that wouldn't be a problem, because I could conceivably use microphone holders I already own with the stands I also already own. For that reason, I really think the set should come with microphone clips/clamps that work with these OR the microphones should be designed to work with standard sized microphone holders. Now on to the receiver. It's rack-mountable, which is a huge bonus if you're planning to use this system in a rack. Some other offerings are simply boxes with no mount. This receiver is simple: One place to plug in the power One power switch Two places to screw on the antennas 4 XLR outputs (one for each microphone channel) One 1/4" output that mixes all four of the microphones down to a mono output. 4 level control knobs So, the receiver is a mixer if you use it with the 1/4" output, OR it's simply a receiver if you're taking each microphone and feeding the audio from it into an external mixer from the receiver. It's just that simple. It comes with instructions, but they're hardly needed at all. The level control knobs located on the front of the receiver act as level/volume output controls for each individual microphone. I hooked this system up to a sling studio live streaming video device and found that the mono sound comes only from out of the left channel. So I'll have to use an additional mixer if I want to use these microphones for my live video streams. That, and, like I said before, I will also need microphone holders that can accept microphones this thick. So what does all this mean? If you need a wireless system and you don't need to use the microphones on stands AND if you have an additional mixer that can turn a left channel only signal into mono (both channels), this system is a great buy. It comes with everything you need (even batteries for the microphones) to be up and running with it in five minutes or less. So, in summary, the pros far outweigh the cons. I found only two things to complain about. This system is a great value and does exactly what's advertised.

Bought it for Very good quality for the price, doesn’t consume battery really fast. It’s lightweight but not to the point that you would think the quality is poor. Has good range and the sound quality is still good even at a distance.

What can I say? This product really did surprise me with its quality, both structurally and functionally! The entire unit is built to last. It is heavy duty metal that will last a long time if properly taken care of. This was one of the biggest selling points to me about this product. The sound quality is actually really good! I was oddly impressed! Take a listen in the video, but I think these microphones sound pretty damn good! AND you get 4 of them! This is the perfect budget unit for small churches, schools, small venues, live stage performances, public speaking, and much more. It has a wide variety of uses and capabilities. If you want to step more into the pro-audio world, or just want to upgrade your current system, this is a very good option. Especially for its price. Other, larger brand systems similar to this one go for thousands. This is a very good budget option!
