Sonicwall has a very good reputation, and well-deserved. You pay a premium for Sonicwall devices, especially when they come with protection services -ransomware, gateway antivirus, intrusion protection etc. - and phone plus online support. Their support engineers stay with you as required when you need help, and follow-up with you to make sure you're operating OK. You can also get a HA -high-availability- device that's identical to the main one, but which is much less expensive. It's paired with the main device, and has full Sonicwall support and licensing for the same services as the main device. The HA device can be put on the side as a cold standby or set up as a hot standby, for failover purposes. To be clear, you only pay for the support and software licensing for the main device, a big plus. Just be aware that SonicOS is quite a complex piece of work, but still simpler than some other solutions. Simple configuration can be quick, but if you want to get into the weeds with multiple LANs/WANs, VLANS, VPNs, QoS and the like, this is all available to you, and much more. The Gen7 TZ670 is very very good. In my experience, close to gigabit wire-speed throughput even with security services enabled. Definitely faster than the prior generations.

El precio es razonablemente interesante por las prestaciones. 12 usuarios cuando el anterior sonicwall solo admitia 4 usuarios y si necesitabas mas usuarios, a pasar por caja. La velocidad de transmisión es notablemente buena.

Sonicwall is pricey but you get what you pay for in this case. Their tech support is available 24/7 and they will get you setup however you like. With all the ransomeware attacks going on this just isn’t an area I want to cut corners. Your defenses need to be managed and updated 24/7 that’s what you pay for with sonicwall. When you consider the cost of a ransomeware attack vs the cost of prevention the sonicwall is money well spent. You don’t have to be technical to deploy it their support will get you up and running with a typical setup remotely.

The tech is fine!! I just wish that customer support spoke a version of English that was easily understood. No disrespect or offense intended. I’m a firm believer that everyone should have equal access to work and provide for his/her family. But the times I’ve called in for support, (twice in almost two years I’ve had the product) it’s been tough understanding the tech person.
