Easy to use with a clear display of temperature and time. Temperature is accurate and controls well. Screw clamp allows it to be used with a variety of containers. Recommend using cling film or foil over the top of the container (not over the stick) to reduce evaporation and heat loss during a long cook. I'm really pleased with results so far and recommend this product without any hesitation.

Easy to use temperature seems consistent

Fits a large pan well with the clamp. Using warm water it heats to the temperature quickly and seems to keep it steady whilst cooking. The pump is pretty quiet too.Knocked one star off because the display cover has come off. Need to glue it back.

Performs well all round.

This clear, calibrated 12l tank seems suitably rigid and robust. The lid is a good fit and the aperture for the circulator is ringed with silicone flaps which offers the option of combining with a range of different makes and models. My KEAWEO makes an ideal pairing.The VPCOC's key defining feature is the adjustable rack which enables you to ensure that the food is fully submerged and the water is able to circulate freely.

Disappointingly flawed & inaccurate

I have been cooking sous-vide for many years - long before it became hip & trendy, using my ever reliable SousVide Supreme water bath which gives consistently exceptional results: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SousVide-Supreme-EUSVK-00001-Water-Oven/dp/B004ZLCCUGAs a result, I have long eschewed these "water circulators", I generally cook for 8hrs+ and don't want some kind of uninsulated pot sitting around on my work top for that length of time that I have to keep an eye on the water level. However, I have frequently wanted to be able to cook multiple items at different temperatures simultaneously.So in my new kitchen design a spare draw was dedicated to sous-vide to allow this to happen, using much much cheaper circulators here would allow me to insulate the containers and keep everything nice and tidy and tucked away. I'd keep the proper water bath reserved for the larger, premium, whole Christmas ham or bone-in-rib joints.So I bought two of these to complete my setup, and have just tried to put on my 8hr streaky bacon at 63.C with one of them.I always double check the water temperature with my Thermapen before cooking, something I would highly recommend doing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermal-Mapen-MK4-Digital-Frame-Thermometer/dp/B01CTK9YD2The Thermapen and Sous-Vide Supreme agree on the water temperature to within 0.2.C. So I performed the same routine with this device first during heating. I don't know what the device measures, but it definitely isn't the water temperature around the circulator, as it was out by nearly 10.C during it's heating phase.When it reached the preset 63.C these was no "beep" or audible alert the device was at temperature. A check with the Thermapen again showed a difference of between 2.5.C and 1.7.C a huge amount for a so-called "precision cooker".On a positive note the temperature difference was consistent throughout, showing that the circulator itself is at least effective.I then noticed the display blinking at me, it took me a moment to realise that it had started some kind of internal timer - that I hadn't set. I never cook with a built-in timer even on my main water bath and definitely don't want one here. It seems you have to manually set a pointless timer just to make the machine work which it will then flash at you constantly.I have yet to discover if the machine switches itself off after the timer completes, if it does then this is flat out dangerous in sous-vide cooking, and I will probably send both these two units back.If that isn't the case, then I am going to see if I can see where the thermocouple reads the temperature from and see if I can hack in a more accurate temperature reading.Anyway, seeing this inaccuracy, I immediately disconnected everything and transferred the water to my main bath and set that to 63.C which it heated up and then held to within 0.2.CThis product is so disappointing. It seems really well built, even comes with decent instructions, but the enforced countdown/timer, no audible alerts and an inaccurate temperature sadly make this little more than a toy. You just have to be accurate to at least < 1.C for this to be worth it.I would suggest you will absolutely want an insulated and sealed (eg. a lid) container to use this with. Along with some kind of rubber washer/ring to seal the device to the lid to prevent water loss.Currently very disappointed. Likelihood of returning both at the moment - pretty high.

So far so perfect

Used twice this week and seems spot on. Water bath temp checked against calibrated meter from work and was within 1 deg F at all times (0.5 Deg C) Allowing for the bath being slightly different temps throughout it and PID heating control lead / lag, I think this is more than adequate. Nice removable clamp included plus a sleeve to cover the bottom half in storage I'm so far impressed......
