Shift Cable Fixing Bolt Unit
This is a high quality item purchased to replace a Sturmey Archer unit that failed. The Sturmey Archer unit was unavailable and it's just as well because the Shimano unit is higher quality.

Very Expensive
$10 for what is effectively a 10 cent item is absurd, does it work yes, but is it day light robbery? Yes Yes Yes. I am 100% sure I can get something from the local hardware store that will work or will work with a few swipes with a file. Bad on you Shimano for being like this.

exact replacement but not that easy to install
The locking ring was made of plastic and doesn't seem that durable if you had to remove it to change a flat in the field, otherwise the product fits as per original. Install the cable last.

what can i say, if you don't have this it will be a lot harder to connect the shift cable to the Cassette Joint. (don't blame me, that's what Shi**NO calls it. ) make sure to tighten it *exactly enough*. not too tight, or you will damage the cable. not too loose, or the cable will slip through it and then all H*E* double toothpicks will break loose.
