Okay, there is a very short, very rude person in my house who wanders into wherever they want with no regard for anyone's privacy. (Yes the person is two.) So we installed these on the bedroom doors in our home and it has completely solved the rude person problem. They're not like the hotel room ones that usually allow you to open the door a couple inches. The door does NOT open when this lock is properly installed and deployed. I'm even thinking about putting some on the door leading down to the basement so that no person and no THING in the basement can open the door into the hallway and come eat us all in our sleep. Conveniently, this comes in a four pack, so I don't even need to purchase a new one for that! If you have two bedrooms and a front door and a back door you could have them on all of those, which would be great! Of course they're "privacy" locks, but they would do fantastic backing up your regular door locks. Only operable from the inside, of course. I suggest installing them at a different height than your light switches, by the way. A little higher or a little lower. And not at "handle" height, of course. These only work from the "swings in" side of a door, by the way. You COULD install one on the other side, but people would think you're strange. Great purchase. Solid. No ragrets.

These were perfect for our unique need. Extra safety for your home or room. We have an autistic daughter that would just walk out of the house. until we got these. placed at the right height and the unique mechanism is extremely easy to open and close for any adult . I use it on our front door and my bedroom to avoid unwanted barging in. It's great for the front door much more reliable than a flimsy chain and give you peace of mind at night against anyone with lockpicking skills or someone who may still have the key. that's on a time-out. very good strong sturdy metal, chrome finish not making it an eye sore

The lock is easy to assemble. We feel more secure and safer. Our mind is at ease knowing that we have more protection in the house. It's a small device but it is strong and solid. Very worth it to purchase. Keep the home safe!

Excellent locks that are easy to install and are very secure.

I love this Door Lock! If you're looking for some added security or want to stop small children from opening a door this is for you! It may require you using some added tools like a chisel and a drill but if you have some handy basic skills you can do it. The instructions were clear and it comes with long and short screws. It's well made and I was very happy with how easy it is to lock and unlock. Great Product. Highly recommended!

Item itself looks good but my son is too smart he opens using a chair to reach it ..so it’s not serving the purpose

This product is good and sturdier but does not fit all doors. I have 1 out of 3 it works on as doors don’t have enough gap to fit the lock in
