Coil spring perfect fit.
This was a perfect fit for my old 12 “ Delta drill press. Am well pleased!

Drill press coil spring
It fit inside the cover of my craftsman 10” drill press just fine and It works well after adjusting the tension. The drill press is a modern Chinese made one lol. Happy they came in a two pack so I took a small rare earth magnet and stuck it to the top cover for my spare. Well worth the money.

Excellent Replacement Return Spring for the Delta 12-inch bench drill press, model11-990
This is a suitable replacement for a broken chuck return spring on an older Delta 12-inch bench drill press, model 11-990. Package was shipped with two replacement springs but only one is needed. I stored the other spring inside the pulley case atop the drill press. No instructions included about how to replace and adjust this quill spring. If you have never replaced this kind of spring before, search YouTube and watch the video before attempting this. There are steps that need to be followed in order to do this correctly.
