Q: What is the pressure resolution and Can you read 4.4lbs and 4.7lbs with it ?

I have to say to the unit works great the screen resolution is very clear. The lowest psi reading I've seen is 10lbpsi that's not to stay It won't read 4lbspsi. I just never had to read that low of a pressure.

Q: How long does it normally take for the pressure to display? DO you have to hold it on the valve until it beeps?

Yes, you hold it on the valve until it beeps. It happens pretty quick. I leave it in my truck all the time to use either with my mountain bike or truck. Works great for both.

Q: can i attach a standard needle valve to the device and check the pressure of sports balls?

No, it won't hold the needle. It isn't as deep as a regular bike pump valve head. I'd describe the cup as shallow. Its just for pressing on, checking pressure, and not clamping onto a presta or standard stem. Hope this helps.
