Grinder quality is the best and the battery life is great

This grinder got good reviews. I learned some things after buying this. #1 For cutting, you need a TYPE 1 Guard. One touch guard Type 1/41 guard for the DCG415 is Part# N311439 #2 You really do need a face shield. Get a good one. I picked up a Jackson Maxview for under $30 #3 The Power Detect Technology (PDT) is compatible with high-capacity XR batteries, but for a boost, they recommend the FlexVolt. I only have 1 XR MAX battery which works for me. I am not a commercial users. Home use.

Runs strong and for a good while. I’m using a 5.0 battery and this thing just goes and goes. Love the way the safety guard adjusts with the push of a small lever. Quick and easy.

Another great cordless tool for my ongoing collection! Dewalt never fails to make my job easier!

I bought this after using the Home Depot version. The HD died after a couple of months of use grinding concrete crack repairs. This has a lot more torque and power In addition, there are much better battery options with the DeWalt. With the 4A and 6A Home Depot battery pack that came with it, I'd often run out of power well before getting a driveway with a lot of cracks in it cut out. Alternatively, with the DeWalt, I purchased their new Powerstack 5A and the Waitley 2-pack 6A batteries and I've got plenty of power. I should have skipped the Home Depot promo and just went with the DeWalt from the get-go.
