Great, lightweight, easy to charge light set
I did not pick up this set on Amazon initially, but at my local outdoor equipment co-op during a fall sale. I am so glad I made the purchase! I feared that the 30 lumen taillight would not be bright enough, but is is very noticeable. I use it in random flash mode, and the strobes are too bright to look at from a short distance away, and are very bright even at a long distance. The headlight has a good mix of modes for visibility as well as path illumination. I ride at about 18-20 mph typically, and the beam is enough to light up my path (on the road, through mostly dark paths and bike lanes that are “shaded” from streetlights by trees) very well. Charging is easy, and the straps make removing/mounting to a handlebar and seat post a breeze. Taillight does not mount correctly to my Topeak underseat bag, which has a horizontal strap to permit lights to clip on vertically. My seat is high enough, however, that I can mount both the taillight and bag with no issues. I love the memory function which turns on the last light mode when the power button is pressed momentarily. I tend to switch on once I’ve started riding, so being able to reach down and switch on the taillight without looking, and still be assured it will come on in the right attention-grabbing mode is a comfort. I love my set so much that I bought a second set through Amazon for my son. I am confident that the lights will keep him safely visible and light his way as well as they have done for me.

Just buy it - Daylightning is awesome
I never leave home without it. A few years ago, a car coming towards me turning directly into me causing me to go to the hospital. She stated she didn't see me. Whether she was distracted or not, I never leave on my road bike without a cygolite dash. I lost one, imediately bought a replacement. I currently own 3 different "dash" models and take them on each ride, loaning my other 2 to other riders. Daylightning is a setting where the top 4 LED's + the main bottom LED all flash at the same time. When other riders at events ask you which light you have, you know its getting the job done. I light may not save my life, but no one will ever be able to say they didn't see me from the front. That in conjunction with the Garmin Varia Radar tailight, I feel alittle safer sharing the road with other cars and truck. They also have a good throw if you get caught out at dusk, I rarely do, but its nice to push the button and have a good headlight - see pic for throw. This is not my only cygolite product, I have owned various more traditional style headlights before finding the dash line and they work great. I have one thats at least a couple years old and still works great. Battery life it very good, I would estimate at least 10 hours of flash setting - which is usually 2 rides = 100 miles or so before charging. micro usb - would be nice if it eventually went to USB-c, but all my other lights are micro usb also so no issue. Other than the output, the small form factor I think it was whats pefect. The rubber strap is permanently attached, and easy to mount to any bar in seconds. As I stated in headline, just buy one - you wont regret it.

SHOUTS FOR ATTENTION - SUPERIOR BRIGHTNESS!
I just received the Cygolite Dash 320 and was so overwhelmed by it that I had to share my initial impressions! My current headlight is the Serfas USL-5 Raider. My main use of these lights is to alert motorists of my presence while road cycling during the day. I use them in flashing/strobe mode to get their attention and hopefully decrease my risk of being hit. The Serfas Raider has been my go-to light for 5 years. I like its small size, light weight, good optics and impressive brightness for its size, and it's USB rechargeabilty. The Cygolite Dash has all these qualities as well but far surpasses the Serfas Raider in brightness, number of steady & flashing modes (seven!) and is still very compact and light. It fits easily on my handlebar without reducing the amount of space for my hands on the tops of the bar. The Dash mounts in seconds using a rubber elastic band and seems more secure than my Serfas Raider (which never fell off in years of use on some rough roads). The primary light modes which I expect to use the most are the Flashing Daytime Running Lights (DRL's) and the Day Lightning. The Flashing DRLs are 4 small LEDs on the top of the light, in flashing mode they are slightly brighter than the Serfas Raider LEDs and have a better flash pattern. But what distinguishes the Cygolite Dash as an impressively superior light apart from any other I've seen (of comparable size, weight) is the Day Lightning mode - 500 lumens of intermittent strobing of BOTH the DRLs and the Main 3 watt Cree LED beam! WOW is it BLINDING! Don't look directly at it when in this mode it's very bright. So given a chance to actually handle the light, mount it on my bike, and experience first hand all the modes of operation, I can unhesitantly most highly recommend it for daytime road riding as a brilliant (pun intended) way to get motorists attention! If you're looking for a compact, high powered, rechargeable DRL with numerous modes of operation that will shout for attention the Cygolite Dash 320 is a "10".

Great light, much more powerful than my old surfas light. Great features.
I mostly do night city riding when using this and it gives me just enough light to see obstructions on the road and helps me be seen by cars and other cyclists. The light has a number of settings that work for most situations, Including in daylight when you want to be seen but you don't want to consume all the battery power. I love that the light is usb rechargeable(micro usb) and has a fairly long lasting battery for me, although I have not timed the charge. There is also a short indicator when the battery gets low that turns the light switch red so that you recharge it in time. One of my favorite features besides the great lighting was that to turn the light off I just hold the button down for 3 seconds and it powers down. Its nice not having to cycle through all the different modes just to turn it off like many other lights. In all, definitely recommended at this price point.

Would have been the best commuter headlight if it had a horizontal glare cutoff. 4 LED DRLs + primary light is a great combo.
As a bicycle and motorcycle rider, I'm obsessed with lights to see and be seen to avoid being run over by cars. The last 10 years has been great because LED technology continues to improve and become cheaper. In 2014, various reviewer blogs mentioned that the Dash 320 was the best bike light. Now in 2015, it seems Cygolite upgraded the Dash 320 to 350, as well as adding a Dash 450. I chose the 450 just in case I needed more illumination on darker residential streets, and its low and medium steady settings provide enough lighting without blinding oncoming traffic. Coming from Planet Bike and other headlight brands which I used around 2008, this was a huge improvement. I love the combination of tiny DRLs and a big main light; the DRLs make you more visible and the big light lets you see more. My favorite feature is the Steady Pulse mode for nighttime where the bike flashes and lets you see without blinding you. I also love that this was "designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA" and it has Cree LEDs. This bike feels hefty unlike my old Made in China lights which I donated away. This is used with an "Urban 650" made by Light & Motion. That light is also made and assembled in the USA and feels like quality. Although that light is more powerful, it costs more too and it lacks the quad-LED array here. I wish this had the amber side lights, the better battery indicator, and the additional colors which the Light & Motion light has. Overall, I bought this for the DRL/big light combo and because its little brothers (Dash 320/350) were well-reviewed. So far, it's done its job very well at day and night. *Update*: Changing from 5-stars to 4-stars because this doesn't have a horizontal glare cutoff. The current design throws up way too much light vertically, which blinds oncoming traffic even in its lowest power and angling it 45 degrees down; the current design is great for off-road/trail use, however as a commuter light which Cygolite markets this as, it becomes a traffic nuisance and a danger. I took this light with me to Germany because the rental bicycles there have dim dynamo headlights. Well I got pulled over today by a police officer. She let me off with a warning because my light didn't conform to their StVZO (2013 law) rules, requiring a horizontal headlight cutoff even for bicycles. The Germans are ahead of America as usual because the current design is blinding wherever you ride. I'm also downgrading the Light & Motion light for the same reasons. US/Chinese manufacturers can easily fix this, but they won't until the law tells them to. The Philips Saferide LED, available on Amazon, looks like a good contender with the proper cutoffs.

High Quality Lights With Excellent Mounts
This is a great combo pack. Both lights offer a generous number of brightness and pattern options, and battery life has not been an issue. The rear light, with it's narrow design, blends in well with the seatpost. I like to make brightness/pattern adjustments as I transition between bike paths (low steady light) and streets (brighter pulsing), and the button is positioned in a way that easily allows for that. The mount on the front light allows for easily adjustments downward to avoid blinding oncoming bikers on bike paths. Like the rear light, there are excellent brightness/pattern options that are suitable for bike path or street. I'm pleased with the mounts, as they are easy to fasten securely, which is more than I can say for my Nightrider 900 / Lezyne Strip Pro I previously owned.

Great Daytime Light !
I was having trouble finding a daytime front light that would fit on my triathlon time trial (Quintana Roo PR Five) bike with a aerodynamic, flat handle bar. I mount it upside down underneath the handle bar. I believe I found the perfect light as far as daytime lights go. I have ridden about 5 hours on it so far. It is extremely visible and bright for daytime riding. A brighter Cygolite Dash with more lumens is not necessary. In fact, it might be too bright for drivers. In the parking lot after my first ride, I had a driver tell me he could see me coming at him from a very long distance - even in the bright, Florida sun during peak hours. The light is designed and made in the United States. It has a well made, beefy feel to it but is lightweight. With the strap tight it stays perfectly in place on roads - although the contour of the light mount does not completely match my handlebar contour. PLEASE NOTE: I have not tested the night modes and probably never will. Training at night in Florida would be dangerous. Drivers are clueless here.

Good Light, Bad battery
The light is useful bright in boost mode and max power, but the battery only lasts about 1-1.5 hours at that setting. So it has to be charged if you need to illuminate the road so you can see. Would work well for shorter commutes but for the price I would expect more battery life.
