40V Volt Lithium-ion 6.0 Ah High Capacity Battery Op40602

Ordered the Ryobi 40V-6AHr battery on December 29, 2025 and received it via UPS on January 2, 2026. Battery was extremely well packaged and looked new upon opening. The battery was fully charged in about an hour and seems to be functioning normally. Thanks EM International for the great service and excellent price (price paid was half of what my local big box retailer was charging for the same battery).

This is an “authentic” 40 volt 6ah battery! Unlike those others I have purchased which say they are 6ah , this is the real thing! It weighs 4 lbs unlike the imitations which only weigh 2.2 pounds. Its dimensions are 7.25 by 4 by 4.45 inches unlike the imitations that are 7.25 by 4 by 3 inches. It’s got durability and power to go through deep snow. I’m thrilled with it! The picture is of an authentic 6ah next to an imitation.

This battery was described as "This is a new unit that has been tested and inspected by qualified suppliers. Unit does not come in original packaging." The unit did indeed not come in the original packaging which would have been fine if it had not been one of the worst packaged products I have ever received. Which for a lithium-ion battery is a bit surprising and in my opinion negligent due to the fire risk inherent to lithium-ion batteries. As for being tested and inspected, the battery does not charge when plugged into either of my Royobi chargers. These are actual Royobi chargers that came with Royobi tool purchases. These same chargers have no issue charging my other batteries. Maybe it slipped past the tester, maybe damaged in shipping due to poor packing, definitely disappointing. Edit: I contacted the seller and they were very responsive and offered to send a replacement. The replacement was packed well, charged and worked as expected so I’ve gone from very disappointed to very happy with this purchase.

This battery lasted for 4 uses, then shows "testing" on the charger. The charger is completely fine. It will not charge again.

So far so good,,, great price,,, not sure if they are new, if not pretty close,,, charge up,, have to wait until spring to see,,, love the price!
