Puffin Worst. Holiday. Ever.

A fantastic book that we brought in our son and have subsequently purchased twice for gifts for his friends, who also loved it! Well written, makes you laugh and cry.

Bought it as a present

Both my 9 and 13 year old absolutely loved this book. It's about a kid that gets anxious, but it is beautifully written and there are lots of laughs in it.

I can't comment on the plot, characters etc as I bought this for my son and it has now vanished into the depths of his room. What I CAN say is that this was so good that he actually stopped playing Roblox long enough to read it in one go and tell me how good it was.

I bought this for my 6yr old because it came up on the Summer Reading Challenge list of suggested books for him. It is quite a fun book, but it is totally unsuitable for a 6yr old - it is too long and hard for him to read himself, and it is a story about an older (tween) boy taking his first independent steps away from his parents and his first (very mild) romance, which a 6yr old is totally bored by. It also quite heavily features an adult alcoholic character drinking at all times of day, and lots of calling people a ‘perv’ etc, and a few older children’s themes like worry about parental relationships etc.
