Best brown rice we've found
Clean, almost never any chaff, delicious fragrance while cooking, tastes great. This is the only brown rice we buy, and we eat brown rice every day.

The Absolute Best
Both the Lundberg organic basmati and short grain brown rice are the best brown rice I have ever eaten. Yes they are expensive but free of pesticides and absolutely delicious. You cannot buy better brown rice. Addendum 8/12/25. I have seen folks complaining about the price and it does cost about 4x regular brown rice. However, the actual cost per meal is small and there is no other rice you can buy free of pesticides and forever chemicals.

Delicious and very Fresh, but is it Basmati rice?
Delicious, fragrant fresh crop. It doesn’t look like the basmati (very long grained) I’ve seen before but it is very good. Is it mislabeled?

Good but quite pricey!
While I was pleased to find and try this US grown alternative to buying Indian Brown Basmati rice, the pricing of both the Organic and Sustainable Lundberg Brown Basmati Rice products are just not affordable for the long haul. Even the attempts to bundle 2-6 2# bags are laughable in that they provide no relief in cost for buying a higher volume. These bundles are actually more per pound. Pricing is what kept me from rating a 5 Star. While I saw some sites offering 25# bags of Lundberg rice that might work for a commercial environment, you should really offer some sort of more affordable bulk pricing that would work for families that would consume a fair amount of your product. Your Indian Basmati rice competitors make 3#, 5# and 10# available at much more affordable pricing than their sing # pricing. Not that you would need to meet their pricing, but if you want to increase your normal consumer usage you need to get more competitive in your pricing.

Great rice!
I really like this rice. I just dump 1:2 rice:water ratio in a pot and boil for 35-40 minutes. It is super easy to cook and comes out being great texture. I even let it go for longer before and it doesn't come out mushy. I don't even have to look through it scanning for rocks, bugs, etc, it is perfect the way it is! Great value for money

Excellent quality
Excellent rice! Yes brown rice does take longer to cook (about 40 minutes at 6000’) but the flavor is far superior to white rice not to mention healthier.
