For some background, I've been an occasional Soylent powder/bottle drinker for the past year or so. I also drink a lot of coffee, but not necessarily on a regular "every morning" schedule. I think there are two types of people who might be interested in Coffiest: people who are Soylent fans and want to check out the alternative product, and people who aren't already Soylent fans but are looking for a breakfast drink. I'll address that second group first, then get to the Soylent fans at the end. I've gone through about 30 bottles of Coffiest now. In general, I think it's excellent. Taste-wise, this is not a SWEET drink; when you drink it, you actually feel like you're getting some nutrition. If you're the kind of person who tends to over-consume sweet things, this product won't activate your sweet tooth, which is a good thing. Personally, once I've had one coffee or breakfast-themed drink, I tend to crave a second. With Coffiest, I actually feel satisfied, and I can move on with my day. The flavor is pleasantly even; it's not strong in any particular direction. However, most other drinks have strong flavors, so my tongue was a bit surprised the first time I tasted it. For a split second, I thought I didn't like it, but within moments I adjusted. By the end of the first bottle I thought it was delicious. The texture is smooth. It has a bit of thickness to it, but not too much. You can feel a very fine grit when you're drinking it—chalky, almost—but it's not unpleasant. Like the taste, I found myself enjoying it by the end of the first bottle. If I had to find something bad to say about it, I'd say that the mouthfeel you get once you're done is a little weird. It's not an aftertaste, exactly, but there's definitely some residue left over for a few minutes once you're done drinking. A couple sips of water get rid of it. Oh, and it's way better cold, so I recommend putting it in the fridge. However, there is something you should know before you buy 10 cases of the stuff: when it comes to how it makes you FEEL, your mileage may vary. There's caffeine in it, of course, but also L-theanine. L-theanine has been gaining popularity among biohackers and supplement takers, and this was my first exposure to the stuff. I can tell you that it has a very real effect, and it may not be exactly what you want. L-theanine is basically supposed to be a calming agent. A lot of people are taking it with caffeine to try to "clean up" the stimulating effects, avoiding the jitters and uneasy feelings it sometimes causes. Well, for me personally, it does a little too much. It mellows me out to the point that my eyes get a little heavy and I can feel a bit of a fog in my head. The weird thing is that I'm not sleepy at all; I just kind of want to stop everything I'm doing and chill in a comfy chair or something. The end result is that this is a TERRIBLE morning drink for me, because it makes me unproductive. However, as a mid-afternoon drink that helps me unwind (but stay awake), it's fantastic. I wouldn't take this before an exam or something, but I'd definitely have some before a game night or interview. The way it affects you might be completely different, which is why it's important to experiment a little and see what works best. For the Soylent drinkers out there, I don't think this tastes much like Soylent 2.0. There are similarities, yes, but it's not just an alteration on the formula you already know. I think it'd be very easy to like (or dislike) this if you already dislike (or like) 2.0. I think this is tastier and has a fuller consistency, and I "enjoy" it more, but it doesn't feel like the two tastes are related to me; they just feel like different foods. Coffiest is less neutral than 2.0, so it's not a one-to-one replacement for it either. In fact I still drink about twice as much 2.0 as I drink Coffiest, both for the taste and because of the physical effects. I think this is a great choice if you want some variety or want the physical effects, but the more I drink of it the more I find myself using it for "special" occasions rather than as a daily thing. I think you should consider this on your own terms, rather than measuring it up as a replacement for some of the Soylent you currently take. One final note: The bottle is surprisingly stylish—much better than the 2.0 bottle, I'd say. I've gotten a couple of questions/comments from strangers because the bottle caught their eye. I actually wish they'd adjust the 2.0 bottle to take some design hints from this one, i.e., the centrally located lettering and the two-tone style.

The Soylent Cafe Mocha Meal Replacement Shake has become my go-to option for busy mornings or when I need a quick and nutritious meal on the go. This ready-to-drink plant-based protein drink offers a delightful mocha flavor while providing the convenience of a complete meal in a bottle. The first thing that impressed me was the taste. The Cafe Mocha flavor is rich and indulgent, with a pleasant coffee taste that is not overly sweet. It strikes a perfect balance between coffee and chocolate, making it a delicious treat for those who enjoy mocha-flavored beverages. The nutritional profile is equally impressive. With 20g of complete vegan protein and only 1g of sugar per bottle, this shake provides a satisfying and filling meal replacement that keeps me energized and full for hours. It's a great option for those looking to maintain a balanced diet or those who are conscious of their protein intake. The convenience of having a complete meal in a portable bottle is a significant advantage. Whether I'm rushing to work, traveling, or simply don't have time to prepare a full meal, the Soylent Cafe Mocha Shake comes to the rescue, providing a quick and nutritious option that saves me time and effort. I appreciate that this shake is plant-based and vegan-friendly, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions or ethical considerations. It also doesn't contain any artificial flavors or sweeteners, which aligns with my preference for more natural and clean ingredients. The 14oz size is perfect for satisfying my hunger without feeling too heavy or overwhelming. However, some may find the texture to be slightly thick or gritty, especially if they're used to traditional milkshakes or smoothies. While I enjoy the mocha flavor, it would be great to see more variety in the flavor options available for this meal replacement shake. Having a few different flavors to choose from would make it even more enjoyable, especially for long-term use. In conclusion, the Soylent Cafe Mocha Meal Replacement Shake offers a delicious and convenient option for those seeking a plant-based and protein-rich meal replacement. The mocha flavor is delightful, and the nutritional content provides a satisfying and balanced meal on the go. With its portable packaging and vegan-friendly ingredients, it's a reliable choice for busy individuals or anyone looking for a quick and nutritious meal solution. Four stars for a tasty and practical meal replacement shake!

Wow this stuff is strong. Be warned: You will need to consume plenty of water before during and after consuming Coffiest. I've been rehydrating following a virus and Coffiest still gave me all the effects I normally get if I consume 2+ strong cups of coffee. Powerful stuff. But not bad. Just make sure you get plenty of water throughout the day. Taste: I haven't had base Soylent yet but I imagine the base product must taste like drinkable pancake mix to me. Imagine if you had a coffee machine that poured a highly concentrated dark coffee into thin pancake mix. It's sort of a non-flavor, and all I can taste is really dark/burnt coffee, as though someone poured a very generic powdered creamer into my cup. Personally I prefer very light morning blends for my cup so I wish the company had gone that direction, but the culture is currently in the grips of a dark coffee trend so this was as expected. Kick: Yowza. As many people have said, don't down this in one gulp. I'd recommend consuming half the bottle at the start of your commute and the rest shortly after, or space it out around your morning meeting. Then drink a tall glass of water to flush your system. I don't want to get too personal but if you're sensitive to strong coffee like I am you definitely know when you've had too much at once, and the effects are present here. I don't feel jittery or manic, the level of caffeine is between 1 and 2 strong cups, but they must have used a method that extracted all the other oils and "good stuff" from a very dark roast. Normal cold brewing doesn't do that for me so I'm interested to see what exactly they did. People with sensitive stomachs might want to split the bottle entirely, and space this out by consuming half of a normal bottle of Soylent or other breakfast shake and saving the second half. Overall, I'm both full and thoroughly caffeinated. I'm only taking one star off because they really could have use a lighter roast to make this more gentle on people's systems. You could always drink a regular cup of coffee later if you need more strength. This blend will definitely be too strong for some people, but I have to say it's just right for the "average" coffee drinker of today who seems obsessed with large quantities of dark roast. For you and me though, pack a glass of water at least as tall as the bottle while you're consuming Coffiest.

Soylent Meal Replacement Drink is a fantastic blend for anyone who is looking for an affordable and quick fix to time-consuming meals! It is also a great way for a person to ensure he/she is getting a proper dose of healthy micronutrients, fiber, calories, etc. This drink also caters to vegans and people with lactose intolerance! Firsthand Experience: I decided to try Soylent for the first time during the summer of 2017 when I was traveling for a week-long bicycle ride across the state of Iowa, and I loved it! I knew I would have trouble readily accessing healthy food during the ride, so I decided to give the Soylent drink a try. I was looking for something that: 1) did not have to be kept refrigerated 2) was highly portable, inexpensive, and tasty 3) contained sufficient nutrients to legitimately serve as a meal replacement. This drink met every single one of my requirements and, at two 14 oz. bottles per day, kept me fueled up for the demanding week! I have purchased Soylent many times since then, including for the same ride in the summer of 2018. What's it Like? I have tried both the original and mocha flavors, and both are fairly tasty. They aren’t the most delicious in the world, but I think that’s Soylent’s intention. The original flavor gives hints of a sweet cream; it is similar to the leftover milk from a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal! I like the mocha flavor slightly more due to the reminiscent familiarity of morning coffee. I hope to try the cacao and strawberry flavors in the future! As far as the drink's effect on me, I couldn't be happier. It definitely satiates my appetite and I can continue working hard for another three or four hours without being distracted with a grumbling stomach. Some people have said that Soylent upsets their digestion, but fortunately it doesn't cause any issues for me. I have only ever had a maximum of two 14 oz. bottles per day; there comes a point where I need solid food! This being said, I cannot speak definitively for anyone who completely structures their diet with several Soylent drinks a day for weeks on end. How Could Soylent be Better? Overall, I really like this product. However, in the spirit of efficiency and waste reduction, I think it would a good idea for Soylent to create their bottles out of recycled plastics. Soylent is all about functionality, and this could be their next step in achieving that. What's the Point? Soylent Meal Replacement Drink is a smart move towards health and efficiency in an unhealthy and wasteful world. I'm not advocating Soylent replace every single meal, but it is a great occasional substitute for those looking to save time, achieve proper nutrition, or meet certain dietary restrictions. In my experience, it tastes excellent and adequately delivers in terms of energy and nutrient supply. I will be purchasing this again soon!

I have been drinking the various soylent flavors, mainly as breakfast and lunch replacements at work, for about a year now. There's not a whole lot to say about them that hasn't already been said. There is nothing magical about them, and the flavor lies somewhere between "perfectly inoffensive" and "an acquired taste", depending on which type you are drinking. If you're picky about flavors or textures, or need variety in your food, look elsewhere. If you're like me and frequently just want something to efficiently fill your stomach and keep you going for another 6 hours, Soylent is great! The cost can seem a bit steep at $3-4 per bottle, but that's far less than grabbing a quick bite from a restaurant and not a whole lot more than packing a frugal lunch. The cafe vanilla and coffiest both give me a nice perk-up in the morning, and can easily replace a cup or two of coffee, depending on your caffeine tolerance. To me, the coffiest kind of resembles coffee flavor, but I put this one furthest into the "acquired" taste category. It's less sweet than the vanilla or chai, and a little more bitter (to be expected from coffee flavor!). One of these for breakfast easily keeps me going until lunch time. For lunch I typically have a second soylent along with some fresh veggies to satisfy the need to "eat" something solid, which is usually enough to keep me going through dinner time without any stomach growling or true hunger feeling. Ultimately, your satisfaction with Soylent will boil down to your expectations. If you are looking primarily for essential nutrition (and/or caffeine) in a convenient, quick to consume format, and not all that concerned about taste or variety, give it a try! If you are looking for a low-calorie meal replacement or diet aid, consider how the 400 kcal/bottle fits into your diet--800kcal to get you through breakfast and lunch doesn't leave much left for dinner on many CICO type plans, and I'm not sure how long I would last drinking ONLY 3 or 4 of these a day. If you're looking for a trendy, gourmet smoothie in a bottle or something, keep looking. Honestly, I think a lot of the unsatisfactory reviews I see about this stuff are from people who expect it to be on par with a $9 sugar-laden smoothie or something in terms of taste.
