The world needs more well-built, made-to-last things like this.
I am annoyed that I've spent so much on crappy trimmers and replacement batteries all these years while this inexpensive gem existed. It's awesome. So awesome that I wasn't sure it was working because it seemed far too easy. It's pretty much silent, trims really well, cleans easily and is small enough to travel with. It also works for ears without blasting ear drums. The blades are hefty and not just a cheap thin piece of rotating metal. But most importantly -- NO BATTERIES. It doesn't look easily sharpened, but it'll probably last many years and I may buy a second to keep tucked away just in case. For what it's worth (and not that you need them, this thing is intuitive to figure out) there are very clear English instructions on the back of the outer packaging it came in.

What a pleasant surprise.
I was wary of this gadget, but my electric machine was crappy, and this one looked good on Amazon.com. What I got was really interesting. It came in a small metal tin, worthy of the popular “un-boxing” type videos offered up on YouTube. Inside is a thin foam pad, under which is a much more dense kind of material, form fitted for the tool. At first glance, it is very nice. It feels hefty for its size, with steel and brass components. I’ve only used it the one time and it works well. It snagged on me once, but I think that was just operator error. It’s wicked easy to take apart the four pieces. Nice manual machine. I really like it. I do think that I’m going to put a dab of sewing machine oil on the moving bits, just to prevent wear and dulling (if it even is subject to it at all). I’m guessing that I won’t be needing to buy another for a very, very long time. It might seem silly that I’ve written such a long review for such a small item, but I felt is was needed.

Works great, NOT a close cut
This thing is extremely well-made, it is faster and easier to use than any of my past electric tremors. It’s also extremely easy to take apart and clean. The issue is it does not cut very close, the metal body is fairly thick(see poc) and this causes the blades to be far from your skin. Basically if you’re like me and have hairs where you can see them it looks like you cut them several days ago, although it is so easy to use I haven’t returned it and continue to use it

Great trimmer.
The size and thickness isn't a problem. It fits man-sized nostrils. It is a great value because it is well-made and easy to clean. This is the trimmer I use most for my ears because it is silent. I am happy with the product. Weight is what you would expect from a stainless steel trimmer. Some say it is difficult to use, but really it isn't. Yes, you have to hold it with one hand and turn it with the other, but I have no issues trimming my ear hair. Be sure to clean this after every use as it will have a ton of hair in it. Cleaning is simple, just back out the set screw and pull apart. Unscrew the brush from the end and clean. I knock the head on a table to get any hairs out. I'm happy with it.

Simple and effective
Phenomenal product. Easy to clean and will likely last a lifetime if maintained correctly. I have been through a half dozen or so electrics and they all got gunked up or fell apart. This is a dead simple solution and with two half turns and a few seconds the grooming is done. We overcomplicated the methods necessary for removing a few hairs. This solves that error. Wonderful product !

Ineffective and over-priced
I wanted to like this "old school" product but ended up returning it for several reasons: (1) the blades simply aren't sharp enough to do the job efficiently; I still had nose hairs showing after three tries; (2) the screw is not captive, as it should be in this application; it's ridiculously easy to unscrew it all the way and accidentally drop it into the bathroom sink and down the drain (ask me how I know); and (3) the included brush is utterly pointless; if you can unscrew the unit and rinse it off, why do you need a brush? It comes in a fancy-schmancy little jewel case, too, which is downright silly. What are we supposed to do with it, save it and store this thing in it? Are they kidding?! It should have been packaged in a disposable cardboard box. I gather from reading all these positive reviews that most of the younger consumers are not aware that manual nose hair trimmers like this one (except without the idiotic brush) were once commonly available in barber shops and drug stores, and sold for less than $5. They would last a few years and when the blades got dull, you'd throw them away and buy another one. Nowadays, as far as I know, this is the only one available, and it's made in Korea and ridiculously overpriced. I sent mine back (after I managed to retrieve the screw from my sink's goose-neck trap, which I had to disassemble) and bought the Amazon's Choice Zorami model 2024 battery-operated trimmer, which I've been reasonably happy with so far. (It's made in China, though, so who knows how long it'll last. Sigh.)

Not brass
Product works well but the metal is low grade brass (if if is brass). Became discolored after just one use.

Great hand powered product.
No batteries to run out. Brass edges seem hardened and cut nicely spinning it as instructed. Does very well.

Super convenient not needing batteries, and razor sharp, virtually no tugging ( I have course beard hair and similar nose hair) so it can get jammed once in a blue moon. But 99% of the time its just smooth cutting and free breathing without all that extra hair. For cleaning its just 1 thumb screw to loosen and the whole unit comes apart easy!

Better to increase the size of product to cover the nose dia.

I've had battery powered ones before - they don't last long. This manual one seems as if it will last a very long time.
