One long, self indulgent, brilliantly executed teenage whinge. Not in any way a repeat of the stylistically wide ranging first album, this one is (imho) Billie with the cash in the bank to do as she pleases which she does, by venting her frustrations with life. I like it, been on repeat here, but this time I do skip the odd track. It does of course stand up in any technical way you care to name, but I doubt it will sell as well as the first full album. I will still be in the queue for her next album fully confident that the O’ Connell’s will continue to cut the musical mustard. My advice is to buy it and persevere if you’re not initially convinced because it’s still way ahead of the pack.

This album is amazing, in how talented this young lady is. I had heard of Billie Eilish, but just assumed it would be same old stuff you hear on the radio. You know repetitive beats flat auto tune vocals etc. But thought listen to Billie on YouTube upon hearing her I thought she is really talented and writes her own stuff with her brother. This reminded me so much of the music from my youth, in the age of singer song writers in the 70’s. If you are over 45 and love music you will like this! Of course next stop after YouTube was Amazon, Billie Eilish then said Thursday or Friday I got it on Wednesday so pleased with album and fast delivery.

Ich habe mich riesig auf die Vinyl-Version von "Happier Than Ever" gefreut und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Billie Eilish und Finneas haben hier ein Album geschaffen, das auf Schallplatte seine ganz eigene Magie entfaltet. Warum sich der Kauf der 2LP lohnt: • Klangqualität: Die Pressung ist hervorragend. Das Mastering für Vinyl ist sehr sauber – die Bässe sind tief und druckvoll, ohne zu matschen, und Billies Stimme klingt so intim, als würde sie direkt im Raum stehen. Besonders der Titeltrack "Happier Than Ever" sorgt beim Crescendo am Ende für absolute Gänsehaut! • Design & Haptik: Das Gatefold-Cover ist hochwertig verarbeitet und das Artwork kommt in der Größe eines LP-Covers erst richtig zur Geltung. Es ist ein echtes Sammlerstück für das Regal. • Hörerlebnis: Da es sich um eine Doppel-LP handelt, haben die Rillen genug Platz, was die Dynamik spürbar verbessert.
