I’ve used these on 12 AWG solid (2.05 mm diameter) and 16 AWG stranded (1.29 mm diameter) wire, and the strippers handled both smoothly without nicking or damaging the wire. Just keep in mind, Klein makes several different wire stripper models, each with different size ranges, so double check you’re getting the right one for your needs before you buy.
