Perfect Christmas gift for someone who loves making cookies

I didn’t buy or get this item from Amazon.I purchased it before Amazon shopping existed!! Lol!This cookie cutter set is double the price I purchased them for over fifteen years ago and it’s still a steal.. My family has held a Christmas cookie party for over twenty years and we use SIX of these at a time.The sheer variety always delights people and the fact the categories each have are a different color allows you to sort through them quickly. Some shapes have graduates sizes so you can pick how big you want those heart cookies to be. It has cutters for all occasions like Easter, Christmas and Halloween, so it can serve as your household set for any occasion. We discovered the first year that the dishwasher is a little too hot and will warp them, but good soapy water and a baby bottle brush followed by a good rinse and air dry cleans them rather well!. (I also sanitize them with a alcohol solution before air drying.)The container pictured isn’t the best but works for yearly use.I’ve also used them to make clay tree decorations and they work well with several types of dough.This one is a definite winner and we’ve made some good memories with family using them.20/10 no notes!

I ordered this product to use primary with cake decorating, and contrary to other reviews that I'd read from Amazon prior to receiving the product, there were no duplicates -- all 101 were unique cookie cutters. I sat them out and went through them and the only negative comment that I can say is that there was no 'number 9' and no number 'zero'... BUT i presume they expect me to use the "six" upside down perhaps and well I can always use the "O" from the alphabet as a zero, but they're not quite the same shape but won't be that noticable. One other negative comment, although it didn't bother me quite as much -- when I opened the Amazon box, my cookies cutters were loose from the packaging and scattered around the box. The shipping box was the correct size and packing materials were in place, but I noticed that the manufacture had sealed the lid to the with two tiny pieces of tape, and with a bucket brimming full with cookie cutters, add in some tossing during shipping, and the tape did not hold the product (at least it wasn't a breakable item though)... But I'd like to suggest to Wilton (the manufacturer)that it doesn't eat much into their profits to use a better quality tape and more of it to ensure their product doesn't scatter about during shipping. I do like the tub that the cutters came in, although it's flimsy but it does the trick. The lid, on the other hand, you may as well throw away,I've seen better plastic on products I buy at the 99 cents store! But overall, I give the product a high mark for quantity, quality, and assortment. I give Amazone excellent marks for shipping packaging and delivery time. Also, just a side note, there seems to be several categories of cutters in the box: alphabet, numbers, Easter (or spring?), Halloween, Cars, trucks and lil boys type cutters (although I would have like to seen some geared at little girls), Christmas, and a few others.

All my cookie cutter needs have been met! With 2 kids there is no shortage of baking to be done for school or just for fun. I made these Halloween cookies for my son’s class and they turned out great. The cutters washed up easily. All good things!

Before I go further, I'm going to say I've uploaded photos of ALL cookie cutters, and they can be seen under 'product images'.These cover like, all bases. Christmas, Halloween, Valentines.. If it had Thanksgiving and birthdays (cakes, candles, etc), it'd be absolutely perfect. However, I've never seen a set come closer. There are some shapes larger than others, but it works out well like that. The cutters are bright and colorful, and color-coded by season / whatever. For example, the magenta ones are letters, the baby pink are Valentines, and the green are Christmas. They seem sturdy and durable.The container doesn't seem like one you can re-use, since I only removed them to photograph them, and there's a tiny mountain on the top, so I clearly won't be getting the lid back on. (I was going to sort them into small baggies for occasion anyway, so this doesn't bother me.)A few came raised / bent upwards (photos of that available as well), but that isn't an issue, since they're easily pressed into normal shape to cut the cookies with. (I did one of the larger cutters with two fingers- one on the top, one on the bottom.)Overall, I think this cookie cutter set will complete almost anyone's collection, at least majority of the way. If you're looking for specialty sets (such as fall leaves, or woodland animals), you might want to buy that in addition / instead of. If you're looking for a base set that you can buy those specialty sets to add on with, this is it.
