Sauce Hot 5 oz (pack of 2)

Update: Previously, I spoke of receiving a bad batch. That review is below. However, I have received a few cases since then. They have all been great. I continue to keep it as a subscription. Good value for the dollar. I have used Tapatio for years. It is hot and flavorful. I have replaced my regular hot sauce with this brand. I previously purchased the large 2-gallon container of Tapatio from Amazon and it was great. However, this case here may have been old or something. The sauce tasted weird. After having purchased this case several months ago, we have only tasted some from one bottle and refuse to use the rest. Tapatio is great! I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, I think that I may gotten a bad batch. Hence, the three stars. I would have reached out to the seller. However, I got busy and the 30 days had passed me by. Thus, I just took the loss. I would love to try again. I will just be sure to return it in time if I get another bad batch. Thanks.

As I've stated before I'm not one for change or experimenting with my food intake. This one was by chance and good luck (for once) My wife happens to follow Wil Wheaton and his wife on Twitter. She was reading something and brought me in to show me a shot of Wil posting a picture of Cholula because he likes it. He also had a shot of Tapatio saying that he swears by it. I know from talking to my wife that Wil eats a lot hotter than me but figured if he had them together, they may be similar so I bought it and tried it. I was very happy when I tried it that it is a little hotter than any of the Cholula but not too hot for me and has a different taste, thankfully one that allows you to use it with just about anything. Thanks to Wil Wheaton I've been able to add another great hot sauce to my menu to also help add some flavor to those items I need to eat but just don't really want to eat. This is a great hot sauce! Thanks Wil! I highly recommend this product.

Hot sauce is something I love for my food and gives a boost to most meats like porkchop, steak,egg etc. First time I use this sauce and my expectations for this sauce was not the best because first impression you get is like looking a bottle of ketchup but after tasting it everything changed and really surprised me. Is really good and has a nice touch of spiciness. When you try the sauce alone it has a sweet and salty taste and then comes the spicy touch feeling. Level of hotness i would say from one to ten I'll give it 6

Excellent hot sauce for beef or pork. Does not have a vinegar base.

Very tastey sauce with some zip but one notch under Franks.

Best flavored hot sauce around. I would say medium heat and doesn’t taste like vinegar.

I'm no expert, but Tapatio isn't THAT much different than Cholula, and yet Cholula is so much more expensive. How does that work? I dunno, Cholula is better, and if you disagree you are wrong and there's something wrong with you and your mouth and your taste buds and your brain, but Tapatio is so much cheaper and it's solid. If you want to just cook up a bunch of wings and dump two bottles of sauce on them, this is the way to go. Five stars for being a good sauce at a better price.
