Rachael Ray 53234 Solid Glaze EVOO Olive Oil Bottle Dispenser with Spout - 24 Ounce, Red

A few things about this olive oil bottle: It looks fantastic. It goes really well with my Italian-themed kitchen and allows me to leave it out instead of hiding it in my pantry. In use, it works better than almost any other olive oil bottle I've used. It does drip a tad, but usually only one single drop as the tiny lid is closing on the spout. It also pours out a lot faster than my old bottle, which I still haven't gotten used to. I like that feature, it just takes some adjustment. I was always frustrated with my old bottle as it came out ever so slowly. It is a bit hard to fill, since I can't see the level of the olive oil until it's almost overflowing. I end up sort of guessing how much to put in, which works well enough; I just don't put in as much as it could hold, which leads me to filling it more often than I might need to. That doesn't really bother me, but it is something to be aware of. As far as the actual act of refilling it, it's very easy--just pop the nozzle out and go at it. As olive oil bottles go, this is definitely a nice one that I plan on having for a long time!

It's simple, it's good looking and it works! I am one of those cooks who pretty much believes all recipes start out with olive oil. I have used various wine bottles and cruets in the past and some worked fine, some took a few different spigots types to fit or the bottle oozed oil and got messy. Not an issue with RR's EVOO bottle. It's comfortable, holds a healthy amount of oil and is easy to fill without spilling over the sides. (I filled using a large 3 quart jar, pouring directly from bottle to bottle with no problem!) I am glad to have added another Rachael Ray product to my kitchen and have yet to find fault with any -- they are what they claim to be and do and look darn nice while doing it or waiting in your shelf for their next turn! I love Rachael Ray, and I watch her cooking shows often on television. I never owned any of her products until I came across this. I was searching for a good olive oil dispenser and I was not aware Rachael Ray has these in her line of products. Sure for 15 dollars its a little expensive for what it is, but I think it is the cutest bottle. And, it comes in two colors (I purchased red). This bottle holds a lot, and I only refilled it once since I bought it. I was reading some other reviews and they mention a small funnel that came in the packaging. My box did not have a funnel, but I already had a small one at my disposal to use. The hole is quite small so a funnel will be necessary. There is also a cover that is attached to the end of the pipe where the oil comes out. I'm not sure what that is for. I guess it keeps air from coming in the bottle.

I've bought other oil dispensers but i always had a problem with oil leaking and the cap not holding right. This bottle however is not only perfect because rubber holds the dispenser cap in place but it looks gorgeous on the counter top. I love the red color because it matches a lot of the things i have in the kitchen( oxo and farberware have lots of red things). Its holds a pretty nice capacity of oil without being too heavy. Anything bigger than this may be uncomfortable to pour. The only con i see is that although i love the red bottle itself, because it is not clear its hard to know when to add more oil or how much oil to pour in. But in the long run its also not hard to figure it out. So i I would def recommend this to anyone.
