Excellent real wood and a breeze to assemble. Just screw on the legs. I couldn't buy the raw wood for the price of this readymade table. Sturdy Just be aware that as is stated in the description, it does have a butcher block top - it's pieced from short lengths, in other words. You don't get the long board look, but it's still very nice. We barely had to sand it - it was sanded nicely already. It took stain beautifully, but be aware the open-celled detailed areas (edges and shaped areas) will absorb stain the most. These tables can be stained, varnished, painted, whitewashed, etc. The design is beautiful and it looks very expensive - only you will know it isn't!

Wow, what a surprise! This table far exceeds expectations. It looks terrific unstained and I may keep it unstained. It is solid wood, well constructed, and very easy to assemble. The bolts and holes all line up, the proper tool and parts are all included, and the instructions are clear and simple. This table is a super value. I will look at other items this company has to offer.

I am so happy I bought this table. The handcrafting is excellent an I love the leg details. It was so easy to put together and it is heavy. I like real wood. I am really looking forward to finishing this. I am using this as a desk/extra dining for kids and a sofa table. I put felt on the bottom so it could slide easily on my wood floor. This is the second time I have bought from this company and it won’t be the last.

This desk is solid and nice to look at, even unfinished. I'm an older college student working on my Master's thesis and it's perfect as I need lots of room to spread papers out. It took about 10 minutes to put together and the instructions were very easy to follow. I chose to keep it unfinished for now as I needed to use it right away. It's the right height, length, and width to hold my laptop, books, papers, & lamp with plenty of space to write.Humorous note: I did lose 1/4 of the table to one of my cats who insists on being close by as I work, but he stays put and I still have plenty of room to work. At least he stopped laying on my books as I worked! hahaha!

Great quality. Wood accepted a water-based stain (walnut color) well. Highly recommend.

This table is extremely well made and a pretty fantastic deal. I have not painted/stained yet so I cannot comment on that. From my experience staining, by the look of this wood it won’t absorb stain SUPER great as the rubber wood isn’t very porous. Would be perfect to paint. I am going to stain the top and I think it will look just fine :) Happy!

this table is nice but had the wrong hardware to put together.

This table is beautiful..I was going to stain and paint it but it's beautiful just the way it is. I'm using it for an art table in a small space and it's perfect. I would buy again. It's sturdy and doesn't wobble a bit. Very happy with it.
