Q: What is the difference in Nutpods and just simply a blend of almond milk & coconut milk in your coffee? Is it creamier?

I tried a “Nutpod” recipe that I found online, hoping to be able to make my own. It combined almond and coconut milks but was downright nasty in my coffee. I am a fanatic about having a very generous amount of half and half in very strong coffee and have tried almost every plant based creamer on the market. I was considering just giving up coffee since none of them were remotely palatable until I found Nutpods original. It is the only one I find to be an acceptable substitute. I actually like it better than half and half since the lower fat content is much easier on the digestive system. I would never consider going back to dairy.

Q: I read that it can be used for cooking. Will it be the same as heavy cream? Or should I use it only for deserts?

I have used Nutpods for soups, baking, and various other recipes. Anything that calls for cream or milk I have used and it has always worked well! I also use it in my frother and it works well.

Q: Do they make a small individual trial size? After reading all these curdling reviews I'm afraid to spend the bucks on a it.

Q: Why does this curdle in my coffee?

Another way to stop curdling (it has to do with temperature and fats) is HEAT your creamer and don’t pour cold creamer into a hot beverage like tea or coffee. If it does curdle you might be able to whisk it back to normal... it’s not spoiled, just components pulled away from each other.
