Pretty awesome for diving in a swift water environment. Much better than the pictures.

I have not used mine yet, but was curious if others who’ve commented on the length also had this plastic piece? The picture on the description does not, but I suppose a pair of side cutters or knife could make swift work of that. Removing MAY give extra length

Too short for cold water divers. Maybe if you don’t wear a hood it might be ok.

Let's face it, you could make your own with an elastic stretch cord and tie 2 knots for less, but this is made and shaped well and ready to go out of the package. I like this much better than the bigger, bulkier, and heavier rubber ones. So why the four stars, cost is a bit high.

It is too short for me, as others reported if you use a hood. Also, I had to laugh at myself for buying this. It's not that it's a bad deal. The seller had to cut the cord, ends had to be sealed, knots tied, packaged, advertised, and mailed. Not a lot of profit in that. But, if you have the cord and know how to tie a "Chinese" knot, it'd be easy to make one yourself. Unfortunately, it really is too short for me. Manufacturer, please take note to add about 10 inches. I can't use it.
