I used this on my 2008 BMW 528i in early January 2020. It worked.

Q: So, basically this makes it easier to use the female most adapter because it is pre-trimmed?

Exactly! If you buy ANY other Female MOST adapter you will need to trim the heck out of it to get it to fit into the male adapter of the device you are trying to bypass in your car. It takes patience and it is easy to damage the unit if you are not very careful. This pre-trimmed adapter is ready to go out of the box, simply plug it in, zip tie it on and you are done.. No tedious trimming.

Q: How it this secured to the male connector if the surrounding plastic has been trimmed?

In the envelope you will receive a few zip ties along with your pre-trimmed adapter. Simply use the zip tie to loop through both connectors and that's it! Simple. You can get a good look at how they are secured in this video: https://youtu.be/N7E4lTPgChg?t=146

W221 2008 S63L-AMG audio loss rectified original & Android unit with this loop, fits like a glove!

Seller also reachable on Instagram, I reached out to say thanks and got a reply too.I had replaced the original screen with the Android replacement which is obviously divine in comparison to the original screen, after servicing from the dealership, they reset/flash the ECU and the audio used to disappear for a few hours or a day, then next day used to return, till one day after service reset it didn’t come back for days, read up online and this product from what I see and used myself was too straightforward and works brilliantly! Solved everything!
