With all the products I end up returning to Amazon, it feels good to give a perfectly fine product a second chance at life. With Amazon renewed, you also save a little bit of money too.This add-on camera worked perfectly out of the box. No firmware update or any other hoops to jump through. I simply added the camera using the settings menu on my existing monitor. With two cameras synced, the display automatically cycles between the available camera views. You can also manually toggle between the cameras by clicking the center button.Lately, eufy camera technology has been in the news regarding some privacy concerns and their Internet connected cameras. My family really appreciates that this camera stays local because this camera doesn’t have Internet connectivity capabilities.

Works great with monitor we already have, very easy to set up. Only issue is that it says it’s not compatible with the monitor we have but you just dismiss the prompt and it works perfectly fine.

This camera worked fine for the first few months, but then even though it has just sat in the same place, it stopped connecting well to the power cord. For a while I could jiggle the plug on the camera and get it in a position where it would turn on, but now not even that is working. I don't know if it's because its Amazon Renew or what but it seems to be a hardware issue since you can see from the light on the front that there just isn't power getting to the camera.

I love the Eufy system because it has its own WiFi which reaches long distance and if my home WiFi goes down, it still works. It’s nice that the monitor is separate, so I don’t have to use my phone. Unfortunately, I am struggling with the camera plug. I want to have two cameras because my baby naps in one location and goes to bed in another. Keeping one portable to send with grandparents is nice. I don’t know if it’s because they’re “renewed” or if new ones are defective too, but the plug in the camera comes loose inside the device, so when you plug it in, there is intermittent or nonexistent connection. So far I’ve returned 2 cameras with the plug problem. The most recent one (third camera I’ve tried) has a different problem straight out of the box, it spins and makes noise without even being connected to the monitor. When I connect it the video quality is terrible- color is off and image blurry. Now I have to do my third return. I’m getting frustrated!

I was happy with my purchase of the Eufy baby monitor and wanted to add a second for my second baby. This refurbished camera was great! I’m happy I went with this one!HOWEVER, the ordeal of updating the firmware on my OLD camera and monitor was annoying. The process of updating the firmware itself wasn’t bad (though if you are not good with technology you may struggle with the process.. at that point, I’d recommend going with a different product). The issue was, although the monitor and this refurbished camera had no issues with updating, I ran into issues updating my old camera. The firmware didn’t update correctly the first time, and any subsequent times just didn’t process. I had to contact Eufy support and record them a video of my troubleshooting. Thankfully, the process went easy for me, customer service was great, and I got a new replacement camera. It was just frustrating to have to do when you have a newborn baby and a very busy older child.

Ordered an add on camera for my second child but unfortunately wasn’t able to connect it to our preexisting monitor! Was very disappointed that this wasn’t easier to complete and that I had to download updates that never ended up working. Overall I love the quality of Eufy cameras

Tried to pair with our baby monitor to have 2 cameras, but this camera wouldn’t sync. Contacted eufylife support and they told me both camera and monitor needed an update. Tried to do that from my computer, but they wouldn’t update. Monitor works great with my other camera that came with it, just not this one.

The system plus this add on camera are too expensive for the camera to not even sync to the monitor. I should've listened to the previous customers. Don't be like me. Find another baby camera.
