SANUS Ultimate in-Wall Cable Management Kit for Mounted TV & Soundbar

This was so easy to install I was able to do it by myself without my husband’s help. I’m a pretty handy person (thanks Dad!) and when this arrived I was excited to finally hide the messy cords hanging down from the TV. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to pay but it literally came with everything I needed, including the drywall saw. I installed it easily and quickly and thanks to the included templates it looks great and they fit perfectly in the drywall. If you’re looking for an easy little DIY permanent solution to the cords hanging between your tv, sound bar, and floor-hugging wall outlet, buy this!! I’m not sure why it’s a frequently returned item because I found it super easy to install and would buy it again in a heartbeat if we needed another.

I needed to hide cables and wiring for my TV, sound bar, cable box and DVD. Not a difficult job to do but just layout your sheetrock cuts avoiding wall studs. Label all cables during and after installation for future reference. Be careful of residential wiring when making any sheetrock cuts. Directions were easy to follow and if you have basic skill sets, it will be an easy job to complete. Also, make sure you use high quality cables that are recommended by your tv, soundbar, DVD and cable box manufacturers. Also, measure and buy long enough cables with some extra length. Cost more but it's worth the in the end. Picture and sound quality will be greatly enhanced.

Exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t have been easier to install.

I used this to hide cables behind my LG G5 and with a Samsung 990F soundbar. The process is straightforward - the problem with the design are as follows 1) it uses a wing mechanism to attach to the drywall; mine was missing a couple of wings from the get go and it’s very easy for the wings to fall off into the drywall abyss when you are mounting it. One way to get these wings again is to use some from other wall outlets if you have them lying around. 2) The main cable line is very very heavy/fat. If you insulation, even with fishing cables, it’s gonna take a lot of time and power to get things right. 3) I had a total of 3 hdmi cables (ps5, apole tv and soundbar) and 1 Ethernet cable (this probably wasn’t required since all TVs ports are limited to 100mbps - but I dint know that at the time) running through, it was very difficult to get these inside the provided space and out from the bottom. Sanus should probably upgrade this to fit more cables and see if they can make the main cable lighter. I had other mounting issues with my TV so I had to hire someone to help me out half way through. Otherwise if you want to have a clean look without doing some electrical stuff on your own, then this is the best bet. Overall it give me the neat look I was gunning for so I am happy.

This product was perfect for my needs. Newly renovated space where the contractor did not follow our wiring diagram and I ended up with no power at my TV location or my sound bar and speakers. This kit allows you to drill out a 4" hole in the drywall, insert this very substantial and sturdy panel with cleats that hold in place. There is a second panel connected to the primary where you can run power to the soundbar while hidden behind the devices. Romex cable with attached plugs makes this even more substantial and worthwhile. Great to have on hand for tech installations and wire clutter control.

Worth every penny!

It was a straight forward installation process. The only issue I had is the components that have the bristles where you feed the cables through was narrow and did not fit the HDMI filter (the enlarged portion of cable near the connection). It was an easy fix however, the component can be disassembled and I cut crescent shapes on the sides to fit the cable which looked neat when I resembled it. This was the only issue I had. The dry wall tool was sharp and cut neatly, the cable wire could be formed and was easy to feed through the wall and pass by insulation.

This was easy to install and made a nice clean setup. Search Youtube and watch the installation video. You can install this and have a great professional-looking setup in an afternoon and you don't have to be (or call) an electrician.
