I installed the camera on my caravan SWIFT Sprite SB MAJOR 4. I have installed the camera under a rear lamp as shown. I did not use the wiring from this lamp as the connections are all sealed and only a little exposed wire. I ran the cable along the chassis to the front side light connectors where there is easy access to the power supply from the side light. The camera works very well and picture is of good quality and clear. Not used it on night vision yet. The power to the camera is activated when the caravan is connected to my vehicle tow bar electrics.

My use case is not the usual one - I use this camera for monitoring a section of a towed potato harvesting machine. With this in mind, the camera is subject to a lot of vibration and dust (although not too much water). So far, so good - the camera has withstood everything thrown at it. The camera and electrical connections appear to be robust to me - after a wash they look brand-new again. Installation is straightforward - all you need is a 12V supply and somewhere to mount the camera. In the tractor, I've got the screen on the control panel mounting bar, but there are a few mounting options supplied. The overall look of the screen is quite utilitarian - fine in a tractor or truck, but might look a bit out of place in a car / SUV. There are options to flip the video (helpful to ensure your camera mounting isn't constrained) as well as including / removing reversing lines. We have two of these to monitor different parts of the harvester, and they work well. You can have two cameras connected to one display if desired, which could be useful in certain circumstances. Represents decent value for money for a wireless system in my view.

The bench test was good, clear picture, even without the aerial. What was disappointing is that the angle of 170 degrees suggested is only obtained by moving the camera on its frame. I expected it to be a full 170 when in a fixed position. But I still think it will be ok for our open sports car with poor rear vision generally!

Loved the fact that it had all been paired for instant use. Didn’t buy it as a reversing aid but as a caravan rear view camera. Just had to extend the power cable on the camera to reach one of the caravans 12v socket and used one in the car for the display screen! Love it!!!

I am getting to picture come through after 6 weeks of use. Is anyone else having this issue? The markers are showing but not the picture. All cables are connected and un damaged? Any help appreciated.

I really am impressed with the camera. I've installed it on my discovery and trailer. Reversing around corners was always stressful once the trailer was out of sight! An absolute dream to drive now. It was easy to install. Initially i couldn't get it working and then i realised the wire joiners weren't good enough to cut into the cameras own wire well enough. Cut the wires back and soldered together and it works perfectly. I really am chuffed to bits. I need to order a second camera now for the car when the trailers not on.

Broke after 6 months, there was always a time delayed in the picture show. For £120 I was pretty dissapointed in the product.
