Replaced QAF with QAF2 breaker -- Works as expected
My 5 year old Siemens QAF 20A breaker tripped repeatedly. At first, about a year after usage, it started tripping once every few months. Recently, it has gotten worse, tripping maybe once every month. I couldn't find the type QAF anymore, so I swapped it out for this which is type QAF2. I could only find a few pieces of information on QAF2, but it seems to be an improved version of QAF. So far so good. Wish the information was more readily available on the "type". Hopefully this one lasts longer than the old breaker.

Good, nice, and affordable.
I have been working with these breakers for a long time. They are good; compared to others, they have better durability and a better price.

My old AFCI breaker kept tripping - This works as advertised
My old AFCI breaker kept tripping. My options were to get an electrician to find out why it suddenly started tripping or replace the breaker with a new one. Replacing it was much cheaper than getting an electrician, and the new breaker is not tripping. It works great.

Arrived fast but never used it
Great shipment speed but we found the arcing current in our house, which led us to return this because our circuit breaker is still good. We checked obvious locations on the circuit like the outlets and unplugged everything but we missed the ceiling fan. The ceiling fan has a pull chain, which was entangled on the lightbulb base in the light fixture. Even though the light was off, there was just enough interference to cause this to trip the breaker. It was a tough find but I encourage anyone looking to replace a breaker to look EVERYWHERE they can first.

False arc detection like the old CAFCI
This is a new model so I was expecting something better. They trip like the old CAFCI breakers for unknown reasons. I had to put back a regular 20A circuit breaker one more time. Nothing wrong with wiring and outlets, checked multiple times.

I replaced a circa 2007 Siemens AFCI with this newer combination AFCI. The old AFCI would always trip when a transfer switch was used to change from LINE power to GENERATOR power. I have learned that some of the older AFCI's are not very tolerant of the less than pristine power produced by a generator thereby causing it to trip. Since I swapped out the old AFCI and replaced it with this combination AFCI I have not experienced any false trips while running on generator power. Installation is straight forward, just be sure to cut all power to your service panel before attempting.

What more can a person say, this is a bog standard Siemens 20 amp arc fault breaker. What really impressed me was after not being able to easily locate this size (lots of 15 amp) at my standard suppliers in Saskatoon, SK (everyone was sold out), was a less than 24 hour delivery time to my door.

The product is easy to install, I just don’t like the additonal mandatory expense.
