OUTSTANDING UNIT
EASY TO INSTALL AND HOLDS WIRE SECURELY. I HAVE USED THE GARDNER BENDER PRODUCT ALSO AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BETTER UNIT. 3 M STACKER ALL DAY EVERY DAY.

Invaluable for neat and tidy, untwisted runs.
I'm a neat freak, not an electrician. I like my Romex to run straight and flat, and I hate re-nailing my work. When I'm running my wires through an open joist bay, it's incredibly frustrating to try to keep my wires "just so" without prematurely nailing them, especially when I know there are more to follow. So throwing a few of these stackers up before hand goes a long way towards keeping the order (and my inner peace). Simply pull the wire, tuck it in, and it stays untwisted and unsagged. Follow it with more wire. Restack it into another compartment if that ends up being necessary. Only then, when I'm all done, do I gather my slack in a few places and tack the wire down for good measure. As an additional measure, if you've ever noticed how supple a vacuum cleaner cord becomes after a few minutes use, you can appreciate that our wires actually get quite warm with prolonged use. These stackers promote airflow around the wires in an uninsulated bay, or at very least prevent stacked wires from combining their heat.

Easier than staples in tight places
I needed to clean up the wiring in my basement ceiling that was hardly stapled and add some new runs. I quickly got fed up with traditional staples. There were too many places where I couldn’t swing my hammer effectively. These with their 45 degree nail were so much better and made organizing way easier.

Cable Stackers do exactly what they say.
This product worked perfectly for me. I ran 2000ft Cat-6, 1000ft 14 guage 2-wire speaker wire, 500ft 4-wire speaker wire, and 500ft RG6 in my new home build. In several places I had multiple cables running together - the 3M Cable Stacker worked perfectly to keep several cables stacked on-center of 2x4 studs. While this product is designed for use on 2x4 wall studs, I also found them very helpful running multiple cables in joist cavities. After running most of my cables, I went back after and added a few more Cable Stackers to help keep bundles tidy. By the time I was done, my bundles used stackers 2-3ft apart. I would say the only downside to this product was the cost. They aren't cheap, but they are effective. In some cases I had 6-7 cables stacked, and I could have easily added a couple more. Given the cost, I would only use these for 3 or more cables. I'd give 5 stars if they weren't so expensive.

Great device
It really helps sort out electric cables. I just passed an electrical inspection on a house

Exactly what I needed and economical
"Electricians" moved a panelboard and left a bunch of NM cables unsecured from where they exited the top of the panel to where they entered the basement ceiling. These stackers came to the rescue. I used screws to attach them to the wall due to space issues instead of the included nails but they enabled me to both separate and secure the cables in an area that's otherwise difficult to work in. The price was good, too. TLDR: This is a simple, well-priced item that does exactly what it says it will do with no fuss or bother.

Easy way to run a bunch of Romex (or other wire)
I have a main run of wires in the basement from my breaker box to my workshop that's almost 50'. Instead of nailing each 12/2 wire to the side of a joist with a bunch of nail staples, I nailed about 20 of these, evenly spaced, and ran the wires stacked one on top of the other. This made installation way easier (and quicker) than it would've been with staples or some other method of securing the wires to the joists. Also, the length of the end of the plastic piece to where the first wire lays is beyond the clearance required by code, so that saves the step of measuring where you put your wires. The cable stackers don't hold the wire securely (without allowing any movement), however, so you'll still need to hit a cable staple before and after turns, junctions, and boxes, to secure the wire. The wire stays in the stacker, but can be slid back and forth without much resistance. I have enough of these left over that I'm going to run a few Cat5 wires along the opposite joist; the stackers are able to hold most any wire as thick as phone wire.

Great for limited space
This is great for stacking wires, especially when you have limited room for staples. I automatically put 3-4 of these over a box, if I know I’m going to have 3 or more cables going into it. Works great for coax and cat-5 too
