These counters are great for many things, very versatile. They are bright colors and perfect for small hands. Most of them can stand and it includes mom, dad, brother, sister, baby and dog. We use it for acting out books we read, to sort, count, and create patterns. It is a great toy that is durable and enjoyable.

These family counters are exactly like they appear in the photo. They are small, plastic, 3D, generic family figures representing a mom, dad, sister, brother, baby, and cat. They are generic enough that a child could interpret them as other family members, e.g. two moms, two brothers, etc.They work as counters or small toys, as they're only 1-3 inches big (depending on the figure, the adults are larger than the kids, the baby and cat are smallest). They can be used for a sorting, matching, or counting activity, or even just for imaginative play about people/families/etc. They're vinyl plastic and they're durable but not bendable. Some do not stand up on their own because of how their bodies are positioned, but that doesn't matter when using them as counters. Also, since they are plastic, they are easy to rinse off and clean.I bought a pack of these for the PreK unit All About Us, which focuses on families. I put these in my math manipulatives center to tie the family theme into math counting, sorting, and matching activities.

It’s great to use as math as you count the people like figures.Colorful size and shape make it easy for kids to hold these.I got two sets as well .Great value for the price.Durability as my kids like to throw around toys.

These little people are so much fun! There are 4 sets of families: the Green's, the Red's, the Yellow's and the Blue's, with 5 family members and a cute cat. (dad, mom, brother, sister and baby). We have already had a discussion about discrimination because my granddaughter said the Blue's didn't want to play with the Green's because "they were the wrong color." Great lesson! Yesterday we played with them having a jungle adventure with wild animals and then we made toilet paper tube houses for the families. We found that the whole family won't fit in these homes so we must think of other ways to give them houses of their own!!! These are definitely a great playing and learning tool!

I purchased these for a fun way to use as Arrays for multiplication. Also other fun ways to be creative. Plus my little one love to play with them, we're going to build a mini city for them. No money wasted, they'll definitely get plenty of use. Durable and easy to wipe down if needed.
