Mathematical Circle Diaries, Year 1: Complete Curriculum for Grades 5 to 7

The book focuses on word problems and on ways teachers could introduce them to their students. A good part of the book contains valuable advice on how to organize and run Math Circles. However, what appealed to my interests were the word problems. They do not lend themselves to prescribed "recipes" for solving them, and thus looking for solutions the students will develop better visualizing capabilities and logical thinking habits. I highly recommend this book to all fortunate enough to work with young, bright students (8 to 13 years old) on developing their thinking and a love for math.

Very verbose book. Too few problems and too much explanation. Suitable for primary school students.

Just buy for the kids, this is not a maths book, it teaches how to think and solve.
