It is great trivet, the small size is ideal for my 600 ml cast iron teapot, the only minus: while the trivet's legs have rubber protectors and it sits firm on the spot when you put it, the trivet's surface is slippery for the cast iron teapot. It can't slide off the trivet because of the rim that is slightly higher, but it does slide within the trivet, just enough to make you nervous. Anyway, I plan to buy one more of these trivets.

This product is sold separate from the tetsubin. However, it is necessary. It is the perfect weight and the level is even. It came with no scratches or dents.
