I start with the negative: This book has never seen an editor, the formatting is poor: The author intended to highlight important parts by typesetting them in red color, but the book is printed in b/w, so these passages appear in light-gray. Also, the book contains an awful lot of language errors that make me question whether this book was actually written by a native speaker. This concerns both the explanations and the model answers. (example: „when I am into trouble“ is completely ungrammatical). Now the positive: In this book you get some pretty goog advice well worth heeding. If you want to get some ideas on what to say in IELTS, this book is a good investment. But don’t expect to obtain a trustworthy reference. As I said, it’s okay for the price. However, in my opinion you will be much better off with the IELTS Speaking Assistant app.
