Exactly what I needed for sizing and organizing rings
I ordered the Mudder stainless steel ring gauge set to help figure out my ring size at home and it worked perfectly. The set comes with both a finger sizer and a full set of metal ring gauges, clearly marked with sizes, so there is no guessing or confusion. The numbers are easy to read and the sizes feel accurate. I tested them against a ring I already owned and it matched exactly. The stainless steel construction gives the whole set a nice weight and a professional feel. Everything is durable and well made, not cheap plastic like some other sets I looked at. I also appreciate that the rings are held together on a sturdy loop so nothing gets lost or scattered. This is a great tool if you are shopping online for rings or making jewelry. It saved me a trip to the jeweler and now I can size my fingers or rings for friends and family too. Definitely a smart purchase.

Fits like charm
When my beloved Uncle passed away, his girlfriend gave me his coveted Turquoise ring. I eventually gave that ring years later to my adult son. I wanted to buy another such similar ring, for me to proudly wear, but I needed to measure the size of some of my fingers. I bought this ring finger gauge set and I am glad that I did. The rings to measure the size of your fingers with, are all made of good steel and they come connected and held together by a small steel loop of braided cable. Quality constructed for the price and easy to use them. I was able to accurately measure every finger on both of my hands. However, my thumb being a guy is bigger, but not huge-huge, but it was too big to be measured by the largest of the ring loops. I was mostly curious just to know the size of ring for my thumb, but not of deal breaker. I would highly recommend purchasing this set if you wish to measure yourself for a particular ring size on whatever finger you want to wear that ring or multiple rings on your hand or hands. I believe that this set have two sizes to measure any finger. So if your index finger is a size 7, your set will have a loop that is size 7 and the next bigger loop a size 7.5 and so on going either way up or down in size. However, The half sizes are not marked as half sizes, for instance for a size 7, you will have both loops sizes here stamped as with a 7, but the second bigger loop has also been stamped with a 7 on it and is the half size up as in this case being the 7.5, so keep track on that as you measure your fingers. My only recommendation here is the manufacturer would add to this set a few more larger ring sizes above its highest/largest size 13 or 14. This set would make a great gift for someone in your family or a friend, because its the kind of gift that makes you wish you had such a tool to measure your fingers with. I would have loved having this ring set many years ago in fact. So yep, they fit like a charm and I can't wait to buy me some cool rings now off the internet or from a jeweler in town. Thanks, James

Solid quality, reasonably accurate.
I needed a set of ring gauges for ordering a ring from my own 3D model as a gift for my wife. Accuracy was somewhat less important for me, as I can adjust the rendered model to the size of the gauge if necessary. The variation for the size which she selected was about 0.15 mm, which I feel is insignificant. After reading reviews for many other sets, I wanted to post a review of this set for others who may be looking. First, I found no duplicated sizes and no missing sizes. Every size and half size was represented from 0 to 13 as described. Using my admittedly low grade, plastic, digital calipers, I measured the I.D. of each ring twice, once perpendicular to the label tab, and once in line with the label tab. I then averaged the two measurements and compared them with a calculated I.D. for the appropriate size. All of the gauges were either at or slightly larger than the calculated I.D. None were smaller. The variation ranged from 0mm to 0.37mm, with a median variation of 0.17mm. Since my calipers are not of the best quality it is definitely possible that some or all of this variation is due to inaccuracy of the measurement. However, I repeated each of the measurements several times without any significant change. All in all, I found this to be a fine set for the price.

Mudder ring gauge tool
This is such a handy item to have. I have gained weight over the years while my little wifey has lost the weight. As a result, we have noticed that our ring sizes have changed. I wasn't sure of the size of my wedding ring since all it tells me is 10k gold. But it is so narrow, I'm surprised they fit that in! And my wife's fingers have gotten so thin that rings I bought her when we were younger slip off. This item helped us to find our new sizes. The holder is made of a nickel or stainless steel metal and seems to be of very good quality. All the box has is "made in China". I am NOT a fan of the quality of the majority of items I have purchased over the years from their, but I must admit, this item seems to have been quality made. Specially since most of our products are made overseas by the majority of home based but overseas production companies. Seeing the ring sizes is a bit tricky with my not so good eyesight nowadays. Specially when looking at the smaller ring sizes, but our daughter was able to help. Also, the package did not state whether the ring size indicator is U.S. measurement or HK or Japan. All 3 sizes are listed but none are checked. I just purchased a really nice ring through Amazon at 12.5 and the size seemed to match the gauge. All in all, this was so economically priced that it is well worth it to purchase my own. We wanted to get new matching his & hers wedding rings and now we know what sizes we need thanks to this gauge. I hope this helps.

Most realistic ring sizer for engagement ring - still 1/4 size off of my mandrel so keep that in mind
DO YOU WANT TO GET YOUR GIRLFRIENDS FINGER SIZE FOR A SURPRISE ENGAGEMENT!? This is how you DO NOT do it: Off the top: I bought a few different type of these. Purple plastic one, adjustable one, etc. This one is the best as it most closely simulates the natural size and shape of an engagement ring. With that said - it was almost 1/4 size off of my mandrel - So keep that in mind - as you should always keep this in mind - when sizing your finger. I tried to use these to secretively acquire my girlfriends finger size so that I may surprise propose. She doesnt wear rings, and the few she owns don't go on her ring finger. Her friends had told me she had tried on their rings and they didn't fit - so I was able to narrow down a few sizes. I took these sizes and, with a little coconut oil as lubrication, slipped them onto her finger while she slept (this was ridiculously hard to accomplish and took almost 7 different tries). I was able to get a size I felt happy about so I purchased a custom engagement ring for the 1.3 ct loose diamond I had purchased separately from Jamesallen.com I proposed - she said yes - yada yada yada.....the ring was about 1.5 sizes too big. What did I do wrong!? I worked so hard! I would have been better off looking objectively at my girlfriends body and applying the finger average of 6 to her. instead - I measured her finger in the morning when your hands are most swollen - She was also non-cooperative (because she was asleep) which lead me to purchase a ring too big. I'm not necessarily saying what I did was the wrong thing to do - but I do think it wasn't necessary. Still got the ring resized. So my advise to any ladies or gentlemen in the same boat as me....dont over think it - just make sure its not too small :) **Ladies and Gentlemen looking for engagement rings - save yourself thousands of dollars and buy the diamond loose from Bluenile.com, Jamesallen.com, briangavin.com, whiteflash.com or any other modern supplier of diamonds. They have a far superior selection than your local jeweler does (and who is likely using these sites and up-charging your anyways). Trust the system. Then you can take your loose stone and have it set into a competitively priced setting based on material cost and labor - NOT influenced by the quality of the diamond they're trying to push you.
